A reminder that any copies of these books schools had are not allowed to be redistributed or donated (IE Must be destroyed) and ALSO kids are not even allowed to carry their own personal copies to school.

Okay, sure... But the story is about how PUBLIC SCHOOLS are under attack. PUBLIC SCHOOLS and PUBLIC LIBRARIES need your support --even more-- right now. Indie bookstores are great, but they require capital to access. PUBLIC schools and libraries are democratic and accessible to ALL.

This is great news, but folks should know that Bookshop ebooks are in a proprietary format that requires a special app. That means you can't read them on your kindle - which, sure, don't buy a new one, but I already made that deal with the devil and I'll likely use mine till it dies. 1/2

Just an FYI for people who may be new to the book banning stuff, when your books are banned it does not mean you’re on “the right side.” It means that your art (and probably you too) is being targeted by right wing extremists for erasure. It means you are being silenced. It’s NOT GOOD.
