I never met a hamantashen I didn’t like. lol

Thanks! I’ve usually make apricot and I agree filling pre-baked sounds like a fool’s errand. I’m baking on Monday I will let you know how it goes. 😊

Thanks! I’m going to try this. I love lemon curd, but I always assumed (because of my recipe)it was too fragile to bake in the oven and no way did I want to try filling pre-baked ones.

Did you bake them with the lemon curd or after. I have recipe that calls for lemon curd to be added after. Btw they look delicious!

We saw very few monarchs last year and we have planted lots of habitat. In years past I would see them daily in the summer.

No grasp of history, American government, science… isn’t that what they want? How better to control your citizens? I always told my students who thought my gen ed lit class was a waste…that there is a reason governments lock up their poets and writers and it’s not because they are a dumb…

They have no problem calling out the left, but always remain quiet when it comes from the right. This post is disturbing coming from someone in the administration, because it calls into question an old topic that has long been seen as a blood libel. How many times does it need to be refuted?

I have a mango/ strawberry hamantashen recipe! I’ve never tried it, but every year I think maybe I will toss the apricot…

I honestly don’t think we have a Republican Party left. It’s Republican in name only. It seems to be a weird form of libertarian/Christian nationalist cult. I don’t claim to have ever been a Republican, but I feel safe in saying this is not a party even Reagan would recognise.

What a great tribute. My first collie has been gone almost 30 years now, but every year on January 7th we hold Rebel’s birthday as a way to remember all the collies we’ve lost. I’m so sorry for your loss it’s never easy.

Thanks for calling this out. I really appreciate your candour. Well sometimes when you are reporting on my Wolverines… Joking of course. You say what you think and that’s getting rare even sports.

It’s no longer the Republican Party. It’s a cult.

It’s frighting in Michigan. I don’t know how the rest of the country sees Canada 🇨🇦but the Canadians really are my neighbours. I live less than an hour from the border. Our electricity is tied to Canada. Lastly, my husband’s job is automotive and a one month reprieve from lunacy isn’t a comfort.

Thanks so much for the encouragement! Dog photos coming today. We had snow last night so I’m taking them for a run outback before the mud comes back.

He’s a horrible man.

Thanks for the reminder. I’m here for exactly the same reason. I’ve really tossed myself into my dogs and nature journaling as a way to keep myself from just being disheartened and angry. I love your photos they inspire!

This is truly sad, but I understand. Canadians feel the same. It’s a sad time to be American.

As my mom used to say: “That woman is a piece of work” She’s from Michigan too so I have to constantly be reminded of her rhetoric.

I didn’t vote for him and believe me I blame everyone who voted for him. I’ve never been so embarrassed. It’s insane what is happening in this country. I don’t blame anyone whose mad. I’m mad too!

I’ve raised sheep but always avoided chickens because of how much work chickens are to keep happy and healthy. Anyone who thinks keeping chickens is cheap and/or easy has never been around chickens.
