The United States government under Trump by all accounts is shipping these people into indefinite involuntary servitude in El Salvador without even the pretense of any judicial process, much less duly convicting them of a crime. It’s an enslaving operation.

From a business perspective, they wouldn't care half as much if we hadn't been able to play the key songs over and over again, which has led to a discovery of the comics, graphic novels, and old TV show. That doesn't happen if it's not a musical.

I'd characterize it as an inability to find joy & meaning in anything other than a very masculine coded perception of success ("good" job, "good" wife, "good" family), which is at the very least societally reinforced in the spaces that these men frequent & would, of course, not ease their distress.

This is 2/3rds of democratic voters, meaning this is very much not what these voters wanted. We also - across the country - voted for democratic leadership and representation that we are not getting. The President is not the be all and end all of “what voters wanted”.
