You don't dismiss an operational group commander merely because you change plans for this direction. Also, Syrskii today announced Ukraine is going to keep positions in Kursk oblast' "as long as necessary" so it's not a full retreat.

This also planned? www.pravda.com.ua/rus/news/202...

But the Russian offensive and pipeline infiltration was 7-8 March kyivindependent.com/russian-sold...

On 10 March general Syrskii announced "reinforcements" for the group in Kursk oblast, says "no risk of encirclement", not a single mention of organised retreat anywhere.

My request, do not believe what appears on the internet, especially on "X". This especially concerns such nonsense as the dismantling of the Polish airport by the Americans!!!!

I'm afraid this is not the case here. ZSU was clearly surprised by the "pipeline operation". No encirclement, but otherwise well prepared defense in Mala Lokna largely collapsed, lots of equipment lost because Russians also destroyed bridges on approach to Sudzha.

The problem is not in pipelines, the problem is that ZSU command in Kursk oblast' has not learned from the siege of Avdiivka. Russians have repeated the same ruse with an identical effect. If ZSU even minimally monitored the pipeline, they could fry Russians inside easily. But they didn't.

Over the weekend, Musk and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio sparred with the Polish foreign minister over the use of Starlink in Ukraine. WIRED took a look at the best alternatives for Ukraine if they actually lose the satellite communications system.

Of course, how else would Ukraine buy US weapons - regardless of the fact they can be then remotely disabled 😆

⚠️ This video has been slightly edited only to leave out the technical details, but they may be also intentionally distorted and it should be viewed critically.

Ukraine claimed the intrusion was stopped but rapid progress of Russian offensive on Sudzha may indicate it was premature. ⚠️Please note the original Russian material was published for propaganda purposes in the first place and may contain intentional dinsinformation.

The video reveals a number of technical details about the preparation of the operation, which involved significant preparatory logistics. According to Russians, the operation allowed infiltration of 800 people into area 2.5 km from Sudzha center.

But because Davronova was local while Zhamidunov is originally Kazahk, the usual excuse didn’t work and investigation was started. Now they were sentenced for 12-18 years in penal colony, but as “Kommersant” warmly highlights, while in prison they can once again be mobilised to the “SVO”.
comment in response to post
For a while Russians presented a narrative where Davronova was a “spy working for ZSU”, apparently expecting that everyone would just shrug and say “ah ok then” as with many other such cases.

So if today's US decides it's "not in its interest" to continue resisting hypothetical Russian invasion into Poland, it will enforce "peace" instead by any means possible, including disabling weapons it supplied.
comment in response to post
The problem is not in technicalities, but in the fact that US has just signalled its cessation to support enforcement of international agreements it previously forced countries to comply with.

Good grief, look at the sky in Kramatorsk tonight. Russia continues to attempt total destruction of anything in free Donetsk region - especially people and houses. #RussiaIsATerroristState

You can create any reverse DNS record (PTR) pointing to anything, so it's not really any evidence that is _the_ actual x[.]com

The full video t.me/kazansky2017... also speaks of Soviet invasion of Finland, I've just cut the fragment about Poland

Instead, the complex wording bans "disputing facts established by Nuremberg tribunal and spreading false information about activities of USSR at the time of WW2". So, for example, mentioning rape and looting by Soviet soldiers (a fact) is qualified as "rehabilitation of Nazism" 🤷
comment in response to post
"Falsification of history" is an actual crime in Russia, buried in article 354.1 of Criminal Code of RF under name of "rehabilitation of Nazism", but the legal text doesn't even actually mention Nazism!

- We have been with you from DAY 1 - sending you our best soldiers- such as Tadeusz Kosciusko and Casimir Pulaski - the latter died in the American Revolution while saving the life of George Washington in the Battle of Savannah.
