Talk to people at the U.N./F.A.O.
Talk to universities about their research, practical ag. research
Ex: almost 50 years ago, my late husband's PH.D. study was a simple process for high-quality, edible, oil from buffalo gourds, a plant growing wild in semi-arid areas.
Once you know, it's easier.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why the CBC or NPR would give any sort of legitimacy to the insane bullying of a completely uneducated person, drunk with his power.

Me: I'll study archaeology (grew up in Carthage & Rome).
Dad: Somehow, I don't see you in a hot, sweaty, place full of bugs, reptiles and no facilities.
Me: ...
Got married (wonderful), 4 kids, lots of adventures, blah, blah.
NOW, at 73, I wish I would have known about archaeological conservation!

After I lost my husband, I found that eating alone, even sipping a coffee, was very difficult. I quickly learned to tuck a book (now, a Kindle) in my purse.
Amazing how you can lose yourself in a good book in the middle of a busy restaurant...AND savor the food!

🇨🇦 invested in returning soldiers after WWII: they became doctors, lawyers, researchers, architects, artists, etc.
My Dad was one of them: Ph.D., University of Alberta.
Their income taxes more than repaid the investment.
Invest in more knowledge!

I wish, WISH, that Canada would be quietly offering positions to all the brilliant scientists being kicked out of their labs and hospitals.
I KNOW the quality of 🇨🇦 universities and their research: invest in even more!

Right. The "work will set you free" crowd.
And we all know how THAT ended.

I'm a big fan of Ecuador's Caldo de Bolas de Verde...
but seco de chivo (or pollo) might be easier.
