Elon Musk is pushing to end phone services at Social Security, which 73 million retired and disabled Americans rely on to apply for and access their earned government benefits.

Have the DOGE boys gotten around to cancelling a) a single weapons contract or b) a single Elon Musk contract?

Ouch. Republican Representative Tom Barrett held a tele-town hall with his constituents in his swing district in Michigan on Monday and ran a survey asking if they support DOGE. 70% of the participants said they do not.

Arresting someone without charge, explanation, or due process to silence dissent is unconstitutional. This type of thing happens in dictatorships, not America. You don’t have to agree with Mahmoud Khalil to defend his rights—if his freedoms can be taken by the Trump administration, so can yours.

As Trump tries to dismantle the Department of Education, remember that his plan to cut the corporate tax rate to 15% would give the 100 largest corporations a tax cut larger than the entire department's K-12 budget. Really think about how twisted this all is.

Post Card #3 in my mail in post cards campaign, short and easy to understand.

"In a town with just over 1,000 residents, hundreds of people packed Belmont's Community Building Saturday for a town hall hosted by Democratic Rep. Mark Pocan. The building was filled to capacity with people even waiting outside and peeking through the windows..." www.wkow.com/news/politic...

"Randall hosted a morning town hall Saturday in Bremerton that filled up in minutes. Rather than turning the overflow crowd away, she immediately held a 2nd session. 'I want to hear from everyone who took the time out of their day to be here,' she wrote online..." www.advocate.com/politics/hug...

Some of us have been saying this since 2020 and even before: Dems should make corruption *the* central issue in US politics and public life and go on the offensive against GOP/MAGA/Trump transparent and hypocritical corruption and grifting. Most voters hate corruption.

Today, tons of Marylanders rallied at the Lincoln Memorial with Dr. Francis Collins, Bill Nye the Science Guy and thousands of others to tell MAGA to let our expert civil servant scientists get back to work, pursuing facts and conducting critical research for the common good.

Got any plans for next Friday? Cancel them and do this instead, we need you. ❤️🇺🇸

To quote FDR: "I ask you to judge me by the enemies I have made."

I will use every tool at my disposal to protect this country from Trump. I will litigate to defend voting rights until there are no cases left to bring. I will speak out against authoritarianism until my last breath. I will not back down. I will not bow or scrape. I will never obey. Defiantly, ME

The U.S. Capitol Police said the chief of staff to Speaker Mike Johnson was arrested for drunken driving on Tuesday night after the top aide backed his car into a parked Capitol Police vehicle.

Well played.

Well said!

America is getting pretty bored. Lowest viewership of any of his addresses to congress

I don't know who this guy is but he's absolute right.

“Engineers and executives at the so-called Department of Government Efficiency are drawing healthy taxpayer-funded salaries—sometimes from the very agencies they are cutting.”

Trump’s tariffs aren’t just crippling our trade relationships, they’re hurting real farmers on the ground in Minnesota. I’ll keep standing up for the farmers who feed, fuel, and grow our country.

Thanks to the United States Supreme Court for convincing Donald Trump that he could pursue every dangerous, terrible idea and never face consequences.

Is this what they meant by a Red Wave?

In the last election, people didn't want to believe that corporations could buy our government. They were in denial. Corporations already owned our government. This election was only about oligarchs taking control away from corporations. The people were never a consideration.

Lay down your law books now; they’re no damn good

We knew he would try to silence dissent. We need bravery, strong courts, and refusal to allow this fascist to trample the 1st Amendment.

That’s right. 🇺🇦

The Social Security Administration is cutting 7,000 jobs and closing half of its regional offices. It's no coincidence that Elon Musk called Social Security a "ponzi scheme." They're gutting the program YOU'VE PAID INTO to make room for more billionaire tax cuts. Now is the time to speak up.

This is Winston Churchill visiting Washington DC to request assistance in the war against Germany. Notice he is wearing a "zip suit" and not a traditional suit. This was to honor the British troops--the same reason Zelensky dresses the way he does.

Bernie is coming to Kenosha next Friday!! act.berniesanders.com/signup/rsvp-...

Quick reminder: @elonmusk isn’t the leader of a country at war, and didn’t wear a tie in the White House and wore a stupid cap

If you worked for 18F and got fired, Group together to start a consulting company. It’s just a matter of time before DOGE needs you to fix the mess they inevitably create. They will have to hire your company as a contractor to fix it. But on your terms. I’m happy to invest and/or help

Thanks to everyone who participated nationwide!

That Oval Office debacle today solidified two things: 1. The US is not a trusted ally 2. Zelensky is a hero

someone just texted me this and it’s the best description yet

Leader Jeffries... I need you to call Trump a "bitch" on national tv... it's literally the only way you'll get Democrats back... diplomacy isn't the way. These are unprecedented times.

No Senator was elected to let the President or some unaccountable billionaire decide how YOUR tax dollars get spent. Let me be clear: CONGRESS holds the power of the purse, and NO President can unilaterally abolish an entire agency or ignore our appropriations laws.

Anger. Righteous anger. We need more of it in this country.
