Good morning. Today is the 80th day that the U.S. President is running a backdoor bribery scheme in which any CEO or foreign oligarch can send him money secretly through his crypto coin scam in exchange for favors. It's the biggest scandal in the history of the Presidency.

Wow Chicago! #HandsOff #FiftyFiftyOne (🎥 Marco Foster)

Any way off this sickening ride. Nobody voted for this.

Historic and galvanizing moment. Not a word of it in @nytimes.com this morning.

18 hours and still going strong @booker.senate.gov Thank you for standing up for democracy

@booker.senate.gov Still going 14 hours later. In a coat and tie, still cogent and only halfway through his binder. Standing up to fascism.

The deep irony of Elon saying his protestors are paid by a billionaire to be there while literally paying voters $1 million to be there.

Go @booker.senate.gov go!!

Snickers say no looking at news

(1/2) Are you willing to hear an optimistic statement for a change? Per major-media reports, Trump didn't pull back the Stefanik nomination simply because he worried the GOP could lose her seat. He and his advisors were worried about a series of events that could lead to them losing the _House_.

McMorrow: We can no longer accept what we’ve seen at the federal level—holding a press conference in front of the Capitol, telling people you’re fighting for them, and then following up with a text message that says, “I’m fighting for you, give me $5.”

Tried to join @aclu.org town hall with @joyannreid.bsky.social and @chrismurphyct.bsky.social Happy to say the event is over capacity and I couldn’t get in the Zoom!

If these men had any sense of honor, they would already have resigned. The fact that they are all still in their jobs is just as damning as their terrifying and lawless incompetence.

Have any democrats called for the resignation of Hegseth? (Honestly asking. No snark.)

Hey Democratic leadership, this Hegseth story right here? It's a big fucking deal, and you should be eager to hammer the shit out of the Trump admin over it. Don't play nice. There's no need to wait for further details. You need to mercilessly attack them over this.

While I greatly appreciate AOC and Bernie Sanders barnstorming against the meanness, lies, and ineptitude of Trump/Musk, I have to wonder, where are the Obamas? Where are Biden & Harris? Where are the Clintons? This is an "all hands on deck" situation.

Is it OK to say? Season 3 of White Lotus is boring. But for Thai scenery and Parker Posey, I would have abandoned it. Zzzzz

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House. We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication. They own what happens next.

NEW: Here are the 10 “democratic” senators that voted to sell out veterans, the American people, and their colleagues in the House. Cortez Masto Durbin Fetterman Gillibrand Hassan King Peters Schatz Schumer Shaheen

These are the senators who collaborated with the GOP. Schumer Fetterman Cortez Masto Durbin King Shaheen Gillibrand Schatz Hassan Peters Don’t let them forget it. No peace for them.

It's not too late for Mr. Schumer to do the right thing. A quick statement that he just wanted to avoid catastrophe, in good faith, but after careful consideration and thoughtful deliberation with colleagues, voting "no" is the right move.

Extraordinary moment — Nancy Pelosi issues a statement calling on Democratic senators to reject the House funding bill, i.e. to defy Chuck Schumer. "Democratic senators should listen to the women," she says, referring to Murray/DeLauro who want a 1-month stopgap bill instead.

Defeat the partisan Republican spending bill. Stand up for America’s working families. VOTE NO.

I hope all New Yorkers are calling Schumer and demanding he vote NO.

I completely understand Schumer wanting to avoid a shutdown - they’re destructive, and they harm a lot of folks who don’t deserve it. What I *don’t* understand is Schumer saying that Dems were unified in opposition only to change his mind a day later. He looks like a jackass.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable. Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes. Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

It is not required for any other Senate Dem to vote with Schumer. Stand up for the people. Stand up for the party. Unite against this and lead where he won’t.

Let’s face it, Schumer has been terrible even before this. It is time for new leadership. He isn’t the person for this moment in history, and the longer he clings to power the worse off we all are.

I'll be supporting a primary challenge against Chuck Schumer. Time for him to go.

Lemme rewrite that headline for you, WSJ: Trump causes wild market downturn with chaotic trade war with our closest ally

It's almost as if a gibbering degenerate President with zero understanding of markets or respect for the rule of law who is engaged in moronic tariff wars and a wholesale betrayal of our alliances is bad for the market. Strange how that happens.

Ever since Musk has unleashed DOGE, we've had numerous airplane collisions, near airplane collisions, planes landing upside down, FAA experts fired, air traffic controllers not being hired, 2 SpaceX rocket explosions. BTW, I have really triggered Musk's fanboys on Twitter tonight. (Good)

Is the Democratic leadership suggesting now is not the time to be disruptive? If not now, when? Because it really seems like now is the time…

10 Democrats join with Republicans to censure Rep Al Green? What is WRONG with them?

2 hours and counting. Bored. Fell asleep twice.

Whine Kampf. #StateOfTheUnion

Why are Democrats attending the State of the Soviet Union and normalizing Trump and Musk?

Imagine standing up and applauding for such insane fascist lies?

Tanking a 10+ year gaining economy in only 6 weeks has to be a record for any President

The speech is as disgusting, inaccurate, and nonsensical as expected but the sycophants in the room giggling and cheering and ahhing is the real train wreck #sotu

Trump again confirms that DOGE is "headed" by Elon Musk, which undermines the administration's position in a few of its court cases against DOGE's effort to access agency systems.

Trump is using campus protest as a gateway to prohibit all protest in the long run. This is a long game to dismantle First Amendment protections. I hope that's obvious to everyone.

A non stop slurry of hate speech and lies punctuated by GOP jackals applauding

“Elon Musk he didn’t need this” and nobody voted for him and the rapid disassembly of our government
