She thought of the villain group as her family, and still kind of does, despite it being explained to her why they were bad. She secretly visits them from time to time in a special prison made for supervillains.

She actually was taken in by CPS after the death of her father (mother wasn't in the picture) and went back to school, where she was bullied (she was also bullied before the "event"). This is when she learned she had powers, accidentally killing her teacher and her bully before running away.

Jasper got hers through an event-- an experiment gone wrong, affecting the entire town.
She saw her own father slowly die at 12, as he was trapped under rubble and she couldn't get him out.

Markus shelters Su-jin, which means Su-jin's cockiness stems from lack of experience. This means it is very easy to humble him (thank GOD)
He is just a kid right now, after all. He does egg Jasper on and call her a freak in jest sometimes, he will probably get better. Hopefully.

Su-jin is kind of original, based on his parents (who I suppose take reference from other characters)
However, Jasper is similar to Jinx in my mind! And Fran Bow, and other characters like that!

Vampire is the result of Jasper finally snapping, due to many people pulling her in all directions. Being told she's too dangerous, or that she's not good enough, even being called a freak makes her reminisce about her time with Fenrir. She isnt mistreated by the heroes but she doesn't feel at home

Despite his parents humble origins, Su-jin can be kind of a brat at times. He definitely needs to learn humility
Meanwhile, Jasper is constantly doubting herself and her powers despite having such a powerful ability. She doesn't like to leave safety and fight crime.

Su-jin's skull face painting is an homage to his mother, aka the superhero, Reaper. Her power is that she can commune with the dead and can even bring people back to life, temporarily (among other things). She is the person he looks up to the most.

Their outfits are so,,, not really superhero outfits bc their parents/guardians forbade them from actually being heroes.
Su-jin goes out and fights, despite not knowing what his superpower is or if he even has one. Jasper is sort of his "(wo)man in the chair" so to speak

Jasper, on the other hand, was taken by a villain organization (Fenrir) at 12, since her power is... powerful (imagine being able to blow someone's head off by just looking at them). Blood manipulation is super scary, so after she was saved by the hero organization, she was kept to the sidelines
