Oh! Tip of the hat to @kevinpowell.co who I just realised is on Bluesky! Love your work!

Oh, I'm in the $45,001 - $135,000 range so I would only want a tax cut for the lowest bracket. And increase the tax-free threshold to, say, $25,000.

Not to mention the increasing number of people who work from home and barely drive, like myself. (Not that I want tax cuts. Maybe for the lowest one or two brackets, but not for me and above.)

What do you think the chances are of exiting AUKUS if we end up with a hung parliament after the next election? Could the cross bench convince the minority leading party?

Wow. Can highly recommend Bornga in Melbourne. Amazing experience!

I remember it being very difficult to disable gambling ads on Google/YouTube. The "manage preferences" page didn't list gambling as a category to block. I had to do it on some hard to find unrelated page. Evil.

And my purple sweet potato latte from Kumo!

We had to change trains at Seymour for some reason, but honestly rail travel in Victoria is so cheap I can't complain! It was less than $40 for a round trip to Melbourne for two people!

I'm still batting for you over our useless incumbent. You have my donation and at the very least my #2 vote. :)

It blows my mind that the wing-nuts are on Michelle's Facebook page asking her about donations from Climate 200. "Can you please disclose your donations specifically from this one group who's trying to make the world a better place?" /cc @simonahac.bsky.social

Frustrating that SNL does this. I don't think there's a legal way to watch it in Aus.

So wait ... When people say that Joe Rogan is in Trump's pocket ...

I like that the proposed new design makes it obvious that there's more than one photo in a post. Also, is it just me that thinks it's crazy in the mobile app that simply tapping on a photo doesn't zoom it to full screen, like every other app does?

I'm primarily waiting for the promised UI redesign before I jump back in. I was considering using PixelFed to share holiday snaps with friends and family, but the default UI (probably identical to Insta) is a bit awkward compared to a simple facebook post with a bunch of photos.

Apologies to all the farmers - didn't realise what a burden my rooftop solar is on your land. I guess we should stick with coal-fired power plants, whose impact on farmers (both their land and their power bills) must only be positive.

Since the 2 major parties agree on this, they can make it happen now, right? No need to wait until after the election, yeah?

I hope you're right and that they direct their anger at the GOP and Trump, but I'm not optimistic.

I think even then they'll blame Biden, or Obama. It doesn't have to make sense to them.

I can think of two possibilities here, given he said that failure to reply will be taken as quitting: 1. He's too stupid to realise that a large portion of the messages won't make it to their intended recipients, or 2. That has been explained to him, and it's part of the strategy.

How will Labor pay for it, given they refuse to tax big corporations and billionaires?
