Because it’s harder to catch defects in code you didn’t write, the only realistic way of ensuring that you really do “go faster” is to let more defects through, unintentionally or no.
So, effectively “LLMs for coding” are largely a cover story for improving throughput by relaxing quality standards

Actual creative professionals train to develop ideas through iteration. In design school, we generated hundreds of concepts as a way of exploring the opportunity space.
In addition to improving the ideas being generated, this also makes any one idea less precious.

Helping people make bad decisions faster produces a worse outcome than allowing those same people to make those same bad decisions at the natural human pace.
Not only because there are fewer bad decisions as a result, but it gives time for someone to come by and ask "what the fuck are you doing"

So my wife is a pediatrician and works in some hospitals with high vaccine and intervention hesitation (suburban ones). She has found *tremendous* success by just letting the families know she will have to document the higher risk of specific, and often fatal illness, in the chart of their child.
