My go-to is "Chest". You can instantly see if it has a CH, SH or TH in it, plus E doesn't hurt to know quickly

I started turning my PS5 all the way off every time just so I could hear the PS1 startup sound

I'd be up for that! It's such a fun subject

Gonna join the chat at 480p like it's 1999

Ooh updated tail and everything

Until a couple months ago I was writing for Stack magazine, the one you get in JB Hi-fi stores. It was basically just ads, since you can't say anything negative about products. I was getting $165 a page, which does not feel like much today

I got a 5-page feature published in there in like 2014 and it's probably still the single biggest payment I've had for an article

I haven't actually started it yet, I'm trying to finish off another game first but that icon keeps sitting there, tempting me... I wanna get into it while everyone's still talking about it haha

It updated on my PS5 tonight too

There is a super fascinating episode of the Dollop podcast about the transition from horses to cars, and the chaos and child deaths that followed open.spotify.com/episode/6yHt...

I can't find my own well-worn copy at the moment but it was a hardcover edition paired with Congo

Weirder still was seeing a young Mike Erhmantraut show up as "the cop who doesn't believe Gremlins are real" in Gremlins

BOTW was enough to get me in, even as not much of a Zelda fan. The problem now is that there isn't a big single player game at launch - Mario Kart is fine, and will be a selling point for a lot of people, but I'll wait till Donkey Kong I guess
comment in response to post
This is the first I've heard of this game but it sounds extremely My Jam
comment in response to post
Um, or a Kirby or Donkey Kong or Zelda or fun fan
comment in response to post
It's a lot of fun. Definitely slipped under everybody's radar

My mother in law is obsessed with them. And she has taste

I wonder if it's because people mistook it for the Switch 2 presentation. This was one of the dullest they've ever done, like they were just clearing out the pipe so they can focus on what's next

Time to show her the world beyond free to air

Aww no, I liked the structure of Arceus more than any other Pokemon game lately. Loved the deeper sneaking/catching/hunting, and the reduced focus on battles. If they added a Snap-like photo mode I'd be all in

Your guy has straight up today asked the Australian national science organisation if our research "aligns with the values of the Trump administration" and well, it's not looking like we do
comment in response to post
The structure of Arceus doesn't really feel like it could be made better by adding Mega Evolutions

Love it. We still talk about one legendary roll in a game of Risk about a decade ago, during a key battle between two superpowers. Attacker rolled 3 sixes, set to steamroll through the territory - but the defender rolled 2 of their own sixes, completely countering it

I hate to be the guy to point it out, but the gap between now and the retrospective is now bigger than the gap between the retrospective and its subject

Yeah we need him in Tropico 1... 2... 3, 4, 5....

I want to see this so damn bad

It's only been like 5 years since I played Detroit: Become Human and I'm already transitioning from robot saviour to siding with Clancy Brown's disgruntled detective

Thanks!

Ah yeah, that makes sense. I've been doing things like all the numbered Resident Evils (up to 5 now), replaying the main Mario platformers etc.

As an Australian approaching 4:30pm on a Friday, you genuinely spooked me with this until I remembered that time zones exist

EVERYTHING in those 10?! That's a massive undertaking
comment in response to post
That'd be too on the nose in a Chaser article
comment in response to post
Aww no, that's tragic though!

Honestly though, that's a cool scene, and raises the stakes for the new big bad. I'd be sad if it was the original Rexy, but at most it's just one of the parents from The Lost World.

It was amazing, and apparently planned for a 3 season story. Sad that Netflix used to be the ones to save cancelled shows

Good news for long haul flights in 2027 though

Bizarrely, I have this! I don't remember it being too complicated, but I haven't played it in ages

Did you take that waterfall shot? Because damn, it looks like a desktop screensaver

I never played Hospital or Campus but was intrigued by them, just never got around to trying them. But the second a museum-themed one appeared, I was in. Feels like ages since I've played a good management sim

The way they framed Ultimate I don't think they could pare it back now without people complaining. A port seems the most likely I think, Deluxe with all DLC. But a lot of the hype is new characters, and I don't know how they could squeeze in many more. Licensing only becomes more of a nightmare
comment in response to post
Everything I hear about this game makes me wanna play it more. And I was already very in as a big museum nerd
