Great video as always. Could someone if they have time please explain how the US / Trump administration have made it possible for US (and in-particular Uk) hedge funds to be able to invest in Russian businesses? Is this a lifting of sanctions? Just because they can doesn’t mean they will? Thanks

Ironic how the great deal maker, who blames Ukraine for allowing Russia to invade without making a deal, can’t find it in himself to sit down and deal with the Houti rebels who are disrupting trade….. Peace not war Donald!

No way Trump and Vance Plant (Elon and Tiel’s paid pick) are going to agree to anything that comes of of the Uk and EU.
If the plan is, Ukraine give up territory, US gets paid reparations in minerals and can make a deal
For aluminium with Russia whilst lifting all sanctions, then maybe.

Thank you for taking the time to explain. Very counter-intuitive.

I am so appalled at what I have just watched coming out of the Oval Office. I have tried so many times to even remotely understand how any of this can be blamed on Ukraine and Zelensky. I can’t get anywhere near. So upsetting to see. The mafia have taken the White House. Pay your respects or else.

Putin just bombed a hospital, today, but president Zelensky is not ready for peace. A man who has watched the indiscriminate bombing of his cities, people and hospitals whilst showing restraint and respect in the use and laws governing the use of western supplied weapons.

The don thinks he’s above the law and acts like a mafia boss. You are to come and pay your respects. Sickening. JD Vance what a low life, opportunistic piece of garbage.
Right now Russia just bombed a hospital in Kiev. But Zelensky is not ready for peace.
So so sad

Ukraine have defended democracy with the blood of its citizens and the loss of its infrastructure. We in the privileged west owe them everything, yet America can’t spare them 0.5% of their gdp (half a cent of every dollar) to defend democracy from authoritarianism. The west is finished.

Well how about France step up your military support! 0.18% of France’s GDP contributed so far is embarrassing. The Uk sends 0.51%.

Plastic straws are back oh and with USAID halted, TB treatment programs are shutting down, raising the risk of outbreaks and drug-resistant strains. Experts warn this could undo decades of progress in global health

Worth a listen. Rory Stewart was the Secretary of State for international development in the Uk and has worked with USAID. Very knowledgable on the topic.

History will not judge the west well for how we have failed to adequately support Ukraine. Global democracies have failed. The US is now being controlled by an oligarch, who stands to profit from China and Russia. Elon is a huge security risk.

A degree in geology and a nuclear missile engineer. Very impressive. I suspect the raw materials have been a bigger part of this war than Russia has ever admitted too.
Keep up being a source of sanity in all this madness.

The political system is geared towards making change impossible, slow and cumbersome. Hence being in opposition is so much easier than being powerless in power. I could write a manifesto that sounds great. The whole system needs a revamp.
