I'm so sorry. We're being torn apart and it hurts.

Good to hear! I'm nearing the end of the original trilogy with my oldest kid (slowlu like a miniseries, he still needs kid sleep) and it would be nice to have something to move on to next!

I have so many thoughts on this, but the thought that it's not all about getting on the right ideological train is one of them - no matter the ideals, the impact won't be comparable to the Bicentennial without material support.

No, the research stands for itself. And like the rest of the field. public history isn't *not* dependent on graduate labor....

I had friends who wanted potluck charcuterie for a weekend away and I was like "what? You're vegan and you're lactose intolerant, what do I bring?!" Turned out to them, charcuterie just meant "bring what you like and we'll all eat snacks for dinner."

Just logged on for the first time in a couple days, saw this at the top of my feed, and am just sitting with "muppet history sex pest" for a minute before I scroll down and find out....

Well, at least there's one good use for powdered coffee creamer now.

Same!! Well, the overly sensitive smoke detector is differently located, but the lack of actual ventilation is the same.

That library + cocktail picture is quite literally my life dream. But real estate...

PS I have had it twice. No extreme brain fog, but I didn't push it and was also lucky.

I have read that the more you rest when actively sick, and as you start to feel better, the better your chances of full recovery. Rest and take care of yourself. Wishing you well.

While I'm on the topic, I'd like to recommend that churches NOT sing every verse of every hymn. You can skip #2 or 3 so we can get to coffee hour.

Public access for public humanities - just what we need more of!

Croissants can't be beat, even a great bagel is too chewy. But RAISIN bread? Mixing sweet and savory? This is wild.

As a short person in a way less fabulous rowhouse that nevertheless relies on height for kitchen storage...I could use that.

I forgot about it but then when I remember - yeah! Remember when the internet was a long form reading experience?!

Been there on both counts. I think too short bangs are a look though.

What do we want? TRAINS When do we want them? CONTINUOUSLY FROM 1870 ONWARD WITH APPROPRIATE ECONOMIC ADJUSTMENTS TO ACCOUNT FOR THE TRAIN BUBBLE BURSTING WITHOUT ABANDONING THE CONCEPT

I hear ya. I'm just relatively inactive online because I'm very much not the face of my work (and I'm cool with that separation).

Not easy to improve on that list!
