This tree in my yard symbolizes the change of seasons in our country. We’re facing a cold winter but must remember that spring is on the way. Not likely to post but I enjoy reading. Thanks for the community.

Agree with your last statement 100. However, I suspect that it’ll need to be more than a day to make an impact. I just see them laughing at the one day and believing we don’t have to strength to deny ourselves enough to hurt them. I’m willing to do more long term changes.

So… just to play devil’s advocate, what do we expect to see happen in one day? When people shop the day before in preparation and the day after as usual, have we accomplished anything? Their bottom line remains unchanged so what to they care? Serious question.

He saves nothing. He followed the rules of his job. No cookie. It’s my understanding that he called around to see if there was any way he could do it. When told No, he wouldn’t risk his ass for Felon47. He has never risked his own ass. He’s a day late and a dollar short.

Zero credit given to the man who stood by him for four years. He also wouldn’t endorse Harris.

There were things he could’ve done. Impeaching him would’ve been a great start.

Pence is a day late and a dollar short.

He knew who F47 was when he accepted VP to set himself up for his own potus run. He still didn’t stand up when they called to hang him. “Doing the right thing” was his oath and doesn’t make him a hero. He actually called around first to see if he could do what he was asked. Bite me, Pence.

I understand your point. Truly. But I see us now being happy at scraps. We’re not fighting the root cause. We’re offering a bandaid. I want to see dems fight back. I’m not seeing this as fighting.

Perhaps not but he didn’t commit to his constituents that he opposes them either. Where’s the money for this tax break coming from? Is there a big pot of uncommitted funds available that won’t come from programs the state depends on? I’m not here to argue, I’m asking real questions.

Get. Him. Out. Which one? Yes.

But yah, drink raw milk and let’s shut down the methods of communicating this risk to the public. #FAFO

This is good? He is saying he has no problem with or intent to stop tariffs or Republican caused inflation. The very thing they ran against. Instead he’s cutting income tax without saying where those cuts will come from. Is he mimicking the destruction of the Dept of Ed? Cuts to support services? 🖕

Waking up? Waking the fuck up? Every dem who even comes close to playing nice needs to go.

I’ll believe it when I see it. I’d put money on her approving him.
comment in response to post
Agreed. Normally I’d feel empathy but they need to feel this very personally. We’re all in for a bumpy ride but with any luck the payoff will be some blinders off and a midterm win for dems.

I wonder how many of these employees and researchers didn’t vote or voted for the orange menace. This rude awakening will hurt us all and this is just the beginning.

@mcuban.bsky.social You’re a billionaire. What makes you tick differently? You’ve found a way to enrich yourself without (as far as I know) selling your soul. How do we flip other billionaires and show them what you know?
comment in response to post
Support independent media and yell about everything they’re doing just like they’ve done these last 40 years. Yell into every corner of social media you can reach. Dems, it’s long past time to stop playing nice.

Just cancelled Netflix. Reasons given were - complicit with trump and price gouging.

He’ll just say the same thing he said about his rallies. He said that people were not being allowed in and that there were crowds of thousands outside waiting.

Happy New Year, Maryann. You’ve been a shining light in the past year and I’ve appreciated you so much. May the next year bring you peace and well being. Thanks for all that you give to us. 🙏🏻🥰

Thank you for explaining that. So the key to keeping them both out is to prevent inauguration. Would this trigger another election with Biden in place until then?

I totally support what you’re saying but then we’re left with Vance. Who is worse?

So… the threat of rape didn’t exist until they crossed the border. He’s calling the male citizens of Texas rapists? With stats showing the increase in women being forced to carry their rapist’s babies to term since the fall of Roe, that tracks. If you voted for these men then this means you.

I was going to say something angry but the others here have represented my feelings perfectly. Read the room, Ms. Klobuchar.

Common ground with fascism? No. I’m disheartened when I hear this “can’t we just get along” crap. Nope. Punch the bully in the nose.

I’m not foolish and don’t disagree with you but I’m going to keep speaking out. I’m going to continue reminding those in charge that they’re dropping the ball. We’ve had the tools to deal with him. What we haven’t had is people in charge with the balls to use them.

I strongly support congress using the 14th amendment to prevent an insurrectionist from taking office.

I’ll definitely vote for someone else in a primary. He’s still supporting blue slips for circuit court judges which puts the power in the hands of the minority. He doesn’t have the stomach for the way things need to be fought now and he needs to go.

I left CNN years ago. Stuck with MSNBC but left them election night & won’t go back. I don’t need opinions. I need facts & actions to take. In then end, Even the most outspoken anchors were limited as compared to MTN. I get the fastest, clearest picture of what’s happening from MTN.

Dear Meghan, 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Isn’t that how the republicans do it? Yah. Wouldn’t have been my response a few years back but I’ve had it with “going high”. Time to punch the bully in the face.
comment in response to post
With all due respect, Mr. Schiff, the problem today is that on Jan 20 our nation will be in the hands of a dictator and all of the people who’ve paid for that to happen. Stop offering business as usual and do something about the real problem.
comment in response to post
Damn straight! I’ve been ready to punch back for a long time. Enough of this “we go high” stuff. It’s been my experience that bullies don’t leave you alone until you knock them down.

Awww. Let the magats cry. Waaahhhh. 🥲 (Is that how it works?) Could care less what they think. He did what he thought was right at the time. Probably still thinks it’d have been right had the landscape not changed so dramatically. With new information must come new decisions.

I’ve been hoping for this. It’s clear that 45 and his cohorts would have continued the unjust persecution. Now let’s see him pull a few more magic tricks out of his hat and save us too. Let’s go Dark Brandon!

Sounds like he’ll fit right in. I have zero faith that the R senate will do the right thing.
comment in response to post
And this is different from their normal routine, how?
comment in response to post
Mr. Schiff, get your best game ready. I have zero faith that the R senate will do the right thing. It’s gonna take stepping outside our dem “do the right thing” crap. Why are we even allowing an insurrectionist to take office when the Constitution speaks specifically against it?
comment in response to post
I respect this. I do. But the people who listened and will continue are already here. We’re preaching to the choir. How will we expand this voice to the majority who are apathetic until it touches their worlds? We meed a campaign, outside of here, that shows people how it’s already hurting them.
comment in response to post
Glenn, I appreciate that you offer positives where you find them as opposed to the hair on fire, clickbait approach. Sadly, Fed judge finds J6 pardons distasteful but can’t stop them. Shame that 45’s own delay tactic could be used against him. Lol!
