finally have all the bits & bobs assembled so i can clean up & eventually setting stones! i cut the black jade & the pietersite from rough rock. bronze & sterling silver, all hand fabricated. also you can slip out the fish hooks & pop in an o ring to wear them as a pendant :) proud of myself!

2003 my prof Terri Hackett asked me about a cut I made in my canvas. Stretcher was showing. She said make the glimpse of stretcher intentional, “reward people for looking closely.” Brilliant! i went to go to bed the other day and a lil’ spider was hanging out on the wall so i popped him into a catch cup and gave him a meal in exchange for letting me take some pics w my microscope. p sure he’s selenops submaculosus! you can tell bc of crescent eye arrangement. selene = moon ops = eye 🌙

and yes! rupert is exceptionally cute! i agree! i just spent a good chunk of change on a custom vest, chest wrap, leash wrap, & patch tab for his sling to make it VERY CLEAR he is a service dog, but having a spare $165 is a privilege many of my disabled friends do not have.

honestly, the rest of us dog owners can help out as well by not rewarding this behavior. if some rando tries to get my dog's attention without getting my attention first, I sail right on past. that is rude and also potentially dangerous behavior.
