Also qualitative considerations. Which class/teacher did they have? Did kid gave a personal circumstance etc...

Yes it is tough. Any foundation fives that are comfortably fives and perform better on the crossover content than national foundation fives probably could have done higher. Cross check that against when the decision was made.

There will always be misjudgments at the individual level. I'm interested in whether those could be avoided with a different assessment strategy in Y9/10/11.

I'd be interested in whether those in the assumed foundation classes throughout Y10/11 perform compared to those that were decided to do foundation part way through Y11. I also try and look at which Qs Ss got right and wrong compared to other classes and compared to the grade cohort nationally.

Started it today. I like Sam a lot, always sensible. Hoping the book is as good as it's billed.

That is due a reread from me. I think she did a teen version as well, no idea if that was good.

Yes this feels usable. I didn't understand threads at all. Barely lasted a day on it.

As a casual history fan I really want someone to fill the gap in the market of a great history book at about 300 pages. At the moment I seem to have the choice of tome, historical fiction or podcast. I love a tome but basically have to reserve one for my summer holidays each year and that's it.

It's absolutely true I'm imagining a face to face lesson with a tablet solving that resources issue. I've not done private tutoring but I've always thought I learn so much from the expressions and body language.

So my first blue sky problem/query. On twitter I would favourite this as an indication I want to come back and read it properly when I'm able to give it attention. How do I do that here?

What's it better for? I can just about imagine "as good" but struggling with the "better".

I'm preferring it so far, as long as the network can be built and people keep coming back it is a great alternative.
