I wonder what was so addictive about twitter. This platform is obviously better but I haven't developed the habit of daily use as I did with twitter.

Started the year so keen to start contributing on here, creating resources and thinking about new ideas. Just over one week in and absolutely cream crackered. I do love this job though.

First day of the new job. Great team. Looking forward to the new challenge. It is hard being a new HOD on the same day we have other new maths teachers. They have questions, I don't have answers.

Was a time when "plan the lesson" meant "plan multiple lessons for each period for different children in long form writing, produce a colour coded mark sheet, a context for learning sheet, an annotated seating plan and have all this ready in case someone wanders in." Some things are better now!

Good results today. Well done to all the students that worked hard in the run in.

Any Maths teachers do private tutoring? Do you go through an agency? Word of mouth? Is there more demand at certain levels?

First match of the season proper and it will be my last one at the Webbswood for a while as I move up north tomorrow. Swindon Supermarine lost 2-1 to Scholing. Both teams will want to improve on those performances as the season goes on. #NonLeagueFooty

What's the best way to bookmark or favourite a tweet to come back to? So many blog posts being republished but I can't read them all. #UKed

So I'm on bluesky as it has been recommended as an alternative to twitter (it certainly looks similar). What's the best way to find England based teacher types? Is it worth starting a fight over isolation booths or something.
