Just sent the government my accomplishments

1. Where lies the strangling fruit 2. that came from the hand of the sinner 3. I shall bring forth the seeds of the dead 4. to share with the worms that gather in the darkness 5. and surround the world with the power of their lives

NEW: Pregnancy became far more dangerous in Texas after the state banned abortion, according to ProPublica’s first-of-its-kind analysis, which found the sepsis rate for women hospitalized as they miscarried in the 2nd trimester shot up by more than 50%. https://propub.li/43487Tj

Trump's lawyers are absolutely flailing in the courts right now

They screwed this all up.

AOC has them sputtering mad because she’s educating people on constitutional rights. You don’t see them freaking out at Jeffries for talking about egg prices.

Big crowd at the SF Tesla dealership protesting our unelected overlord. A tiny sign hangs from an upstairs window

I’m going to continue to work until my computer access is revoked,” Lennox said. “Then I’m going to volunteer. I’m going to keep working as best I can to support the veterans. That’s what I’m here for.” taskandpurpose.com/news/veteran...

quantifiable coup

in what meaningful way can we say that the constitution is in effect when an unelected and unaccountable billionaire is wielding state power to unilaterally cancel congressional appropriations?

I hate it when my ailing king is usurped by his scheming foreign vizier

The Market Magic Shop in Seattle's Pike Place Market is the third oldest magic shop in the United States. Bill has worked there since it opened on Halloween Day in 1973. He and co-owner Eric were kind enough to demonstrate some card tricks during my trip last year. #photography #art #seattle

Yeah so the Constitution isn’t really in effect right now

Sure does seem like the FAA is crumbling to dust in front of our eyes right now, doesn't it? I wouldn't like to have air travel upcoming right about now.

A good illustration of first vs second Trump term. In the first, Trump drew a fake hurricane path on a map with a sharpie. In the second, Elon Musk’s twentysomething minions have taken over computer systems at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration directly.

The NYT asked me to write an op-ed on Musk and the Treasury and then took a pass. I hope it will still get read.

I know we can’t run around on fire every time Trump says something but he appears to have just announced the new US policy on Gaza which is to take ownership of it, ethnically cleanse it of the 1.8 million Palestinians there and maintain a long term ownership stake as it’s “developed.”

Trump just said he’s calling for the full forcible transfer of all 1.8 million Gazans out of the strip and says “The US will take over the Gaza Strip”

This is a crisis response app. If a diplomat is in danger, for any reason, this sends their whereabouts to diplomatic security in country and DC

Elon Musk claims to have "deleted" the office in the IRS which has enabled people to file their tax returns electronically, simply, and for free.

okay but you aren’t again, you could be shutting down all senate business by denying every single unanimous consent request, you could be down at Treasury with cameras, you could be doing something other than issuing strongly worded statements your actions have to match what’s happening

if the news media is going to entirely ignore our fight for our lives, we’ll just document it ourselves.

Democrats need to be saying right now that Elon Musk has committed crimes against the country and should be arrested so that when/if the time comes that they ever take back control of Congress and the Presidency they've laid the groundwork for arresting him.

This will also have blowback that will make the world more chaotic and violent for decades.

My friends came to St. Louis to visit me for my birthday!

Paul Krugman confirming what has been increasingly obvious to readers for years: New York Times editors are becoming increasingly indifferent to facts and obsessed with mollycoddling the right. contrarian.substack.com/p/departing-...

What he's announcing is a concentration camp. A deeply illegal, unconstitutional, anti-human rights atrocity. Anyone who supports this is complicit. Anyone in any federal service, military or otherwise, is morally obligated to refuse to carry out any orders related to this deeply criminal act.

Going to be a bit harder to get folks to pay real attention to that OPM letter because (a) its harms are more abstract and (b) folks are going to waste time debating whether its legal, but in all seriousness it is imo the single most severe and most dangerous act they've taken so far.

Go Greyhound and leave the driving to us!

When Mother Nature shows off. The Aurora Borealis and the Milky Way. This was taken half way up Cairngorm mountain in the Scottish Highlands. Such a wonderful thing to see. There were people in camper vans who slept through it all 😮 Hope you’re all having a great day, stay safe.

The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over

oh what could the salute has possibly been

Today's moment of calm... Morning waves from a snowy-stormy kind of day at the Fellsfjara beach at Jökulsárlón in south-east #Iceland in Nov 2015 (0.6 seconds exposure this time).
