I grew up with Sony ID, I saw it was something special even as a child. Their final landline phone was a thing of beauty.

Hoping you left chili flakes in the crotchal area of the suit.

I hope that people can re-learn to use the term “visceral” in a way that is relatable to the human experience, e.g. the physical, connected process of interaction. This is why industrial design is still important.

Same 100%. I need to support game on release that I find meaningful, even if I can’t (usually) play immediately.

What I recall being great about the Uncharted/Assault type game modes was the “recreation of an epic adventure”. That’s what I miss compared to Battle Royale. For me, BR was a brainless step backwards. I understand the desires of the masses, but sadly rarely agreed with them.

There is a logic to the analogy of American statehood. California has more residents than Canada, and still only 2 reps in the national legislative body of the Senate so that tells you how fucking stupid and unsurprising it is.

I applied for a designer position on Uncharted 3 MP back then. I remember the scenarios they presented in the design test. Reminiscent of the U2K3-4 Assault scenarios.

They still haven’t fixed the Puerto Rico clusterfuck.

The Lead on Uncharted MP #leveldesign was Erin Daly. He is a very insightful Canadian #gamedev. I worked with him prior to that gig.

That is why it’s important to show that you understand how to solve an array of level design challenges within a playable space. Adaptability of design intent is valuable. Iteration is valuable. So is production time. #leveldesign #gamedev

On single player levels, I swapped narrative sequences for combat and vice versa. Some of those spaces I designed and some I did not. On multiplayer games, I had to retrofit maps of mine or other’s design that were built for one game mode to work with one or more other new game modes.

Casual is flooded with aimbots

One more note- don’t join via “Casual”, go to Community servers to bring up the OG server browser.

Yes, it still remains one of the most accessible games. Also new maps are still getting released through the community, still high quality, often surpassing the originals.

You were the guy that got me hooked, still to this day. After all these years, this is probably THE most meaningfully iterated shooter ever.

Both good of course! I think the greens are more energetic, the browns more sentimental.

That Copic stuff you do has such a classic feel.

I didn’t know this existed. I thought Gears was preceded by UT2k4.

Excited for this one. Reminds me of the excellent Robocop vs. Terminator, but enhanced by the benefit of hindsight learning.

Browser based game, its free. One of the few games in life that made me literally laugh.

I second that. They also had a specific fall camera when players fell in a bottomless pit.

Yes. Also why I am frequently evangelizing Art Direction over Reality Simulation.

These projects were made for UE4, but they are 100% compatible and relevant to #UE5.

Have you tried the classic uninstall, reinstall? That’s normally my only option in weird cases.

Testing - This one I took directly with my iPhone, are you having trouble with same?

I’ve tried to start my experience here from the start with a vigilant mute/block/follow regimen and although not perfect its at least been far more successful than the former hellscape.
