Cmon Mark, you know that this administration indexes high on the performative while indexing low on knowledge.

I appreciate a few things that Texas is doing in regards to deregulation so more housing can be built. That being said, Texas and a few other red states are leading the charge in creating a dystopian U.S.

Elon is cut from the same cloth as Trump: thin-skinned, money-hungry, over-promise and under-delivers.

Love them!

Always interesting to be able to identify the key players, in real time, that will be responsible for our country turning into a dystopian nightmare.

I keep telling my elderly mother that the Republicans want to cut Social Security. She says that Republicans would never do that. The Republicans are like a virus with this stuff. They keep pushing, back off when needed, readjust their message, and push again. Just like taxes.

The list of Trump officials that were discussing war plans over Signal while m mistakingly including a journalist into the conversation. Why are U.S. officials communicating over Signal? Is this administration ignoring ALL forms of tested protocol? Are there any adults in the room???

Adam, step the fuck up or find yourself in the rubble of what used to be Chuck Schumer.

I’m so bummed out I didn’t know about this. I used to live right across the street from the Vic Theater. Break a leg!

That’s the funniest thing I’ve read today. Thank you! lol

I feel the same. Followed.

I can’t argue your point. I felt like the die had been cast for the complete downfall of America years ago based upon the rich owning our politicians. The past 5 years I’ve focused on addressing the facts on the ground while gaming out scenarios. They all result in our demise.

Schumer has got to go!

Require them to a) address the real issues of the middle class and b) point out the entities responsible for current income inequality. It took Kamala’s campaign to touch upon these issues… but after 3 years of not addressing corporate greed and its affect on inflation, it showed up weak. Thoughts?

And even if it did, the logistics are overwhelming. That being said, we can at least demand for a Democratic Party that isn’t beholden to corporate interests. All it takes is a few candidates to point out existing Dems inaction/corruption.

Not gonna lie… I’ve been thinking about this for the last year.

Haha. I can’t, in good faith, argue that point. The question is: can we, organically, create a true opposition party by the midterms that can win? Of course, I’d vouch for Bernie and AOC… but am unaware of anyone else that is trustworthy. (Obviously, Fetterman is out.)

BUT, if you sign up for Dr. Oz’s personal “Concierge Plan”, you’ll be able to be denied coverage within 24 hours instead of waiting a week to get the same news.

Although this might be backed by science, it only makes liberals look like assholes. Be better.

I want to believe you, but it’s commonplace for certain Dems to make statements like this AFTER they know they’re safe. Senator, Dem voters are tired. It’s time for you to lead or get out of the way.
comment in response to post
I totally agree. The question is can we identify the democrats that are governing in good faith or will we be forced to create a different party?
comment in response to post
Yup. But I think the next year will provide all Americans insight on what Democrats are owned by lobbyists. It’s time to create a scorecard.

Time for new leadership.

Elon, the genius disruptor.

They’re both sociopathic manipulators that feel they’re entitled to everything. It’s a symbiotic relationship. Trump grants Elon the power because, it allows him to claim no responsibility for his actions. He just publicly blamed Rubio for any foreign missteps. He’s immune to consequences. Wake up.

That’s awesome.

While I appreciate the spirit of section 230, what is Congress doing to incentivize social media platforms to develop true standards of best practices?
comment in response to post
I appreciate this. Isn’t this something that governing bodies or sports all over the world could use while they debate this? It could also educate the public.
comment in response to post
I appreciate that. Those studies should be presented to committees in public schools, the NCAA, and the Olympics. Plus, I’d love to learn more.

While I agree with you regarding Dem ineffectiveness. Trump won’t let RFK Jr. do anything that would hurt his big ag or cpg companies. Mr. Brain Work has already reversed his measles vaccine position. Bottom line: he’s always been full of shit.

She doesn’t fucking understand the idea or meaning of “certainty” in the market. She just thinks it means the market did good that day.

Unless the Dems start working for their constituents, they’ll remain a feckless opposition party so MAGA can continue the ruse that America is a democracy.
comment in response to post
I understand the large scope of the project. But to cede all possible guardrails, no matter how small, seems fucking lazy. Let’s face it, Congress doesn’t “do” laws anymore. They’ve decided to rely upon expected lawsuits to decide what’s appropriate/legal.
comment in response to post
However, I wonder if old guard Dems play this black & white card to distract from the fact that they seem awfully quiet about addressing the issues their donors don’t want them to address.
comment in response to post
I wish Dems would stop being baited into binary responses to asshole Republican policies. We can support the rights/dignity of trans Americans, and at the same time state, until studies are done, it’s unfair for a person born and developed as a biological male to compete against women.
comment in response to post
I doubt Mark will respond so I open this up to everyone. Wouldn’t the repeal of section 230 create the incentive for online platforms to address moderation and Congress to actually write some much-needed laws addressing the subject?
