This is the most kindergarten level economic statement I have ever heard. Given the revenue the U.S. gets from the IRS and total imports to the U.S. you would need to place a tariff of over 100% on every single current import. Not including the drop in imports you would see.

Ukraine has supplied the U.S. with extensive intelligence and vast amounts of data on Russian technology, captured equipment, battlefield operational guides, weapon performance, and countermeasures against US provided systems. A shame no one seems to remembers or appreciates it

Russians are bogged down and suffering serious losses in Chasiv Yar due to Ukraine’s significant drone advantage—essentially, they can't even lift their heads. The use of armoured vehicles is extremely limited. EW is ineffective due to the rapid adaptation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

I think people are extremely on edge, and horrified by how quickly society has slipped into this banal techno-fascism, and scared about how far it will go, and that makes people brittle and impatient, and if I were a better person I would extend grace to people because of that, but, you know, I’m me

Ukrainian Warriors of the Lviv 24th Mechanized Brigade destroyed a convoy of Russian armored vehicles near Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. On the morning of March 6, the Russians attempted to make a breakthrough with more than two dozen vehicles. Glory!

A day later, I am genuinely marvelling at the fact that one of the most pro-Ukrainian officials in the Trump administration thought it was a good idea to publicly describe the intelligence cut-off as akin to hitting a mule in its face with a piece of wood to get its attention.

America's fear of socialism has always confused me.

How is any of this stupid shit real

Russia’s leaders have said nothing about peace. They have made a list of demands on the US, the fulfillment of which allows them to broaden the war against Ukraine. And the US simply fulfills all of these Russian demands without question. That is only a peace process in the Orwellian sense.

I think it’s fascinating how this administration’s guiding principle on every single policy is just “be evil.” Starving children? Take away their food. AIDS patients? Take away their treatments. Refugees from conflict zones? Deport them. Nations under attack? Cut off assistance. VA? Fire everyone.

Ukrainian successes have been underreported for the entire war. Why? Toretsk was completely in the control of Russia, now Ukrainian forces have pretty much taken back the city.

1/ In 🇩🇪 and elsewhere the discussion on whether or not the F35 should be cancelled or not starts to gain traction. Can we afford to cancel it? Can we replace it? Complicated, and the discussion would be more credible if not led by commercial rivals of Lockheed-Martin. www.welt.de/politik/deut...

A quick question for my ukrainian friends, what do people think about Poroshenko and Tymoshenko?

The shoe fits. An audience that cannot distinguish between octaves and olives, thinks transgenic and transgender are the same thing. Rest easy, the US is in good hands.

While Trump helps Putin, Russia struggles on the front—AFU counterattacks hit Pokrovsk, Chasiv Yar, and Toretsk. Russian forces face manpower shortages after Gerasimov’s relentless assaults. Gains are localized, but pressure mounts. Read a Russian source’s devastating report below.

Russian milbloggers report that a Ukrainian local counteroffensive near Pokrovsk has started. "Ukrainian forces expanded their assault today, achieving significant tactical gains. Fighting is intense, with up to two brigades attacking from Pokrovsk and one from Uspenivka. We struggle," they add.

The suspension of U.S. assistance for Ukraine is a very unfortunate and significant development, but it may not have immediate impact. Ukraine is far less dependent on the U.S. for day to day battlefield needs in 2025, than it was in earlier periods of the war. 1/
