Yes, just do it. With pulp studies completeness cannot be expected, given the content is so large. You find a work around to this, state what you will do upfront in your intro & then proceed along those lines

Every writer faces a time constraint. Off the top of my head you could do the following
- an introduction to GM, constraints, methodological issues
- a detailed look at the top 100
- a listing for the complete catalogue or as much of it as you can piece together

Narrative wise like a grenade going off inna small room. Greater trucker noir. Easy to see how it was so controversial on its released in 1961. An unsparingly bleak depiction of West Germany on the cusp its economic miracle and under the threat of nuclear war.
