Not just about a single hospital IT. consider the fact that laboratory networks (3 or 4 labs merged to 1) have reduced the number of labs across England, delays & loss of samples inevitable due to increased workload on one site & distance from source rural areas into a city centre some hours away.

Not even a proper front line doctor. It’s like having a 13yr old PlayStation gamer managing England because he’s good at fifa24

Very sad, just seen the brief landing footage. Its landing gear was not down! Whether the reported bird strike disabled that function, it’s not surprising that it overshot the runway, no control or braking system 😔

Daily critical incident declaration. 90 inpatients with severe flu infections, staff sickness up on top of Xmas leave.

With poor pay and conditions for substantive staff, the nhs relies on overpaying bank and locum staff
comment in response to post
Yup I rate him
comment in response to post
Where I work my role is a pay point below most other local trusts(as with pathology managers here) the parking, access to the hospital and canteen facilities are awful, it puts people off working here. Ps it’s a PFI
comment in response to post
There is no incentive to to recruit and retain staff across the board. Make jobs attractive with both pay and conditions. Make it that it’s better to be substantive than bank staff, less likely to not be able to fill shifts too

Fire, Information governance essential. More coming out created by woke HR values which are not for patient facing staff, no there is no TOIL given. In my department the day is full on, longer than contracted without any MT included. And wow you’re so dismissive
comment in response to post
Correct. There’s also a lot that is totally not required in certain roles. What do you want a functional service or people spending days on so called mandatory training because of woke HR values? HR have no clue about what goes on in the shop floor
comment in response to post
I forgot to deactivate the account. I have done now
comment in response to post
The nhs has created a time & paper exercise increase for mandatory training, quality management, governance and so on taking staff away from the day jobs to tick boxes for those higher up but given no additional resource to cover/backfill. I can spend most of my working day in meetings

Is that not foreign political interference? The current tools available to law enforcement and the intelligence agencies are limited. Those suspected of undertaking foreign interference activity could potentially be charged with offences such as bribery or fraud,

Not just doctors. Increase workload, no increase in workforce to match. Lack of appropriately qualified and skilled staff leads to errors, misdiagnoses, sickness, burnout and ultimately puts pressure on qualified staff who leave

Amazing appointments, it’s a Twitter conspiracy theory running Health in America. Hello measles my old friend
comment in response to post
This is an nhs wide problem employing less qualified staff to do the jobs that registered qualified staff perform. Why? because it’s done on the cheap, it’s dumbing down skills, with missed tests/diagnoses and the nhs suffers as a result because of a lack of recruitment of suitably qualified staff.
