The whole ballgame, this whole time, has been them being in power for more than 4 years. And every day they further that plan and yet it's not something I'm seeing being covered enough. Or worse, pundits brush it off. If we don't have free and fair elections next time, it really is...over.

v i d e o. Where are the videos? It's much more real when everyone can see it happening. Everyone in proximity has an amazing video cam in their pocket. Flood the zone with visuals. cmon.

- Proximity to the mic is #1. Even bad mics work OK when close.
It's science! Bad audio can lower the credibility of your guest www.scientificamerican.com/podcast/epis...

- Most importantly, as the producer, you should know what good audio sounds like so you can confidently guide your guest to sound their best.
- Train your ears to hear plosives, sibilance, distortion.
- Learn to post-process audio. You can help a lot of bad audio sound less bad. Leverage AI

- Take a few min. before recording to check settings. Make sure the correct mic. is selected in the recording app.
- Use this time to make adjustments. Ex: getting closer to the computer/mic (raise it closer to their mouth using books). But be mindful of plosives. Within 6" of the mic is great.

What do think? It hadn't even occurred to me. On top of that, any mic you plug into it, gets all the benefits of the onboard processing... denoise an SM7B!

and the .com part becomes confusing if you are not in the know...as in, you aren't familiar (90% of users) with the idea that domains are usernames in this context.
I get WHY (verification) but I don't know that's it better semantically.

Leads me to the wonder...how do you refer to yourself? When someone asks, what's your Bluesky username, me: 'rayortega' but they still have to know the rest .bsky.social, the '@' part does nothing except jargon
So why would I then want to start adding 'com' to that? More to remember, more to type.

Yeah I think it's the 'never needed them' part that wins out for me! I keep a raw file of the final production and IF I ever needed to repurpose or edit, the parts I'd need are in there, the rest hit the cutting room floor for a reason ;)

What is your process?

Hands down for me, it's whatever service has the show I'm currently watching, then YouTube when that's over or before bed (yes it's a bad habit I suppose;)) if I'm not done watching.
BUT YouTube is daily watching, whereas an episode of a show is not.

Something is wrong with these last few auto-posts, all going to an unrelated URL I think.

And when I say 'apparently' I'm speaking from my own use. It's a lot less transparent (the processing is more noticeable). Specifically, it's a lot more aggressive which means a lot less room to dial things back such as noise removal. I can hear a noise gate and that's a non starter.

Don't recall HS, but last night it was two bean burritos (no onions) with chips and cheese for me and the kiddo. A rare, fun treat;)

Nice. You seem to create all the packs I'd want to be a part of ;) I'd love to get on that Video Creators one as well, the Podcast one has definitely increased my following. Fun to see it working Thanks again!

As far as I can tell, the @ symbol is only a social signal that implies the domain is a social account (looks more like twitter than bsky). Cause otherwise it’s a website. But telling people that you’re @domainname is not enough to get people to bsky. Good concept, still too murky for me.
