Is Modern Facism in the US then a response to the endless war and security/militarization of the GWOT? Lots of exmil high speed types angry and disaffected left behind by America.

And b. They had the archdiocese annual appeal tonight and Fr Ron said that he’s on the board of the archdiocese of Newark Catholic charities (legally separate) and that they expect Washington to shut off the $11m in funding they get annually (and have already frozen ~$400k); people audibly gasped

NY machine politicians are trash, same with CA, they can elect a wet paper bag with D next to its name in those states and do, often.

Except Based is lingo that’s over a decade old. People who are almost thirty like me use it routinely. It is not ‘teenage’. These people have their own children!
comment in response to post
It’s less nazi lingo and more a relic of gendered memewars of the early 2010s.

Nah its originally from Lil B a rapper, then became part of the MGTOW/Redpill discourse but a lot of those people got girlfriends and stopped being redpill types but kept the memes

The problem is that based is a term that’s broadly applicable to ages up to middle millenials who are like 35yo now. It is not a under-21 verbage, this is how modern people who use the internet talk now.

I mean based on Shinzo Abe’s murder killings can 100% polarize people against the victim’s organization.

Nah likes me makes me think you’re emotionally stuck in High School, ‘nobody likes me 😫’
comment in response to post
I feel like 'likes me' is a weird turn of phrase here. I don't care if they like me, I just care that they do a good job and the best way to make that happen is casual kindness.

The bigger issue is firing all the JAGs and the CJCS. Obviously POTUS wants officers that listen to him, but firing the JAGs says 'I want to order these officers to do things they're not supposed to do, and am firing the people whose job it is to stop them.'

I think you met a true specimen, a real high IQ human, someone who has the will to reshape this country towards a final solution to its problems. Perhaps Elon can hire him for DOGE?

Like the Second Amendment was written because the Founders wanted any US military to be comprised of the median voter, not some gaggle of scum of the earth enlistees and foreign mercenaries beholden only to the executive as was the case in 1776.

Trump will start one if things get bad enough for him to deflect.

It’s exactly why we never had a large standing army of this magnitude until the Post-WW2 era, the Republic was always in the greatest danger from its own soldiers and this was shown repeatedly in South America in the 1900s.

Because the coastal elites hated Biden, but Biden had more core labor supporters than their intelligentsia candidates. They ran him out but lost that core that could’ve won him the game.

No, he needed the arms exports as a leash to yank or else Bibi would sell out to someone more willing to enable genocide that we are.
comment in response to post
The Dems did not support Genocide. Biden got you a ceasefire. Trump is publicly advocating cleansing Gaza to make it an American Resort. Are you stupid?
comment in response to post
Yeah and what did you change? Biden got you a ceasefire and there’s joYou got Trump elected raging against the Dems and now he’ll let Netanyahu restart the war and kill ‘em all you moron. It was a psyop and you bought it. They torpedoed Joe, put the Hamas war on him, classic divide and conquer.

If you don’t try to make the world a little better in evil times you’re making it worse. Not voting is just surrender to the results.
comment in response to post
If you have the power to pick the lesser evil, and your inaction lets greater evil take root, you are evil by your inaction.

I went full court press on the economy to a big Trumper at work today and they simply have zero talking points to reply with on a recession watch. Like if you emphasize how bad the snowball losses will be they start to get real scared.

It’s basically a legal version of shitposting and it’s like cocaine into their veins.

Similar to like getting arrested and booked at a protest then leaving with no charges, they’re just breaking up the protest.

It’s basically a detention, you don’t really get in any trouble you just get thrown out of the country.

8% budget cuts annually for 4 years, cumulatively reducing funding to 71% of current, will simply not do this.

Most likely the march jobs report will be the hammer in the recession nail. That’s all the way in April. Till then expect flat trading.

Indexes are just giving index funds outsized control of government instead of actual government members. Vanguard et al will pay to lobby the members of government paying into the ETFs!

Amazon's CEO makes a total compensation of $1.36M. Walmart nearly $20M. The government is not even remotely enticing from an economic perspective - it's basically asking for bribery and corruption, certainly not for the best and brightest.
