So let's get this straight: The U.S. and Elon are now extorting Ukraine and threatening to turn off their Starlink Internet access unless they give their critical rare earth minerals to the United States? Staggering levels of corruption.

"Hochul is dithering about whether to use her powers. AOC, in contrast, exercised her 1st Amendment rights to inform her constituents about their 4th Amendment rights. In doing so, she showed that the administration is tyrannical. She also showed that it’s weak — if you’re willing to confront it."

The Pentagon will fire 5,400 civilian workers next week.

FOX NEWS: You are against people bringing in eggs that have not been-- I mean, we have the USDA for a reason. These could be contaminated and bring illnesses in. GALLEGO: Absolutely. This is why we shouldn't be firing USDA inspectors that are actually doing oversight over avian flu

I’m asking Congress to provide disaster funding to help Californians recover and rebuild from the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. It’s all-hands-on-deck to support our fellow Americans and get them back on their feet to begin rebuilding as soon as possible.

Let’s make him FAMOUS, shall we?! 👇 You know what to do.

It’s pathetic MAGA thinks hurting kids is a flex. Vile.

Trump just ordered the DOJ to eliminate the police misconduct database. Imagine losing your child to police brutality &finding out the officer had a violent history that wasn't tracked. That’s what happened to Eric Garners family. The officer who killed him had many complaints before that fatal day.

I wish @youranona.bsky.social could hack into DOGE and cause them to lose access before they truly destroy millions of Americans.

Read before it's gone Donald Trump recruited by KGB in 80s www.irishstar.com/news/us-news...

People ask me, "Are you afraid of Trump?" Oh, fuck no, and you...shouldn't be either. Look, it's pretty clear to me that Donald Trump's wish to crush this country and strip its citizens of their rights will fail. 1/5

btw, i will tell you this - i have been talking to people all day, and the media is missing, whether intentionally or not, how absolutely, volcanically angry the people who have been fired are, not because they lost their jobs, but because their jobs matter, *to us*

Here’s an opportunity to help some kids and get some cookies 🍪 digitalcookie.girlscouts.org/scout/sixk34....

Promoting an 0-9 to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is insane - Trump is going to have to promote him to four star AND waive the legal requirements to even hold the position Dan Caine had a distinguished career, but he’s never been a vice chair, combatant commander or service chief

“Shortly after Friday’s exchange, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) announced that it launched a Title IX violation investigation into Maine’s Department of Education and one of its school districts.”

Something some of you need to work on is this idea you have in your heads that you think you have the right to tell people what to post. And I’m not referring to bigoted content. I’m referring to replies like “why are you posting this?” Some of you need to be put in your place.

⚡️US 'pretty close' to minerals deal with Ukraine, Trump claims. "I think (the Ukrainians) want it. They feel good about it, and it's a significant — it's a big deal, but they want it, and it keeps us in that country, and they're very happy about it."

I’m encouraged by these town halls but I also remember very clearly how this happened in 2017 as well. Instead of responding to the complaints, they stopped doing them. www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpo...

TRUMP: The NCAA has complied immediately. That's good. But I understand Maine -- is the governor of Maine here? JANET MILLS: Yeah I'm here TRUMP: Are you not gonna comply? JM: I'm going to comply with state and federal law T: You better do it bc you're not gonna get any federal funding at all

The exact opposite. I put an awful lot of faith in zelensky. And I always thought bluesky was a better place to hold discussions. Hope I’m not wrong

In addition to Congress being the place that makes the laws, pretty key thing, the constitution explicitly says Congress gets to create the postal system. It’s not left implied that that comes under law making generally. The President has no power to unilaterally abolish it and move it to commerce.

What fucking ignorant moron at the Journal wrote this subhead

'Fatally flawed': Legendary Iowa pollster smacks down Trump’s 'outlandish' lawsuit: Even though he had already won the 2024 election, President Donald Trump sued the Des Moines Register and celebrated political pollster J. Canadians are now referring to the United States as the 11th province

It was always Rand Paul’s destiny to be the last man to board the political Titanic and the first one to shove a woman out of the way to take the last seat on a lifeboat.

Crazy question but is there a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs right now? there's never a gap. Brown is out but Caine needs to be confirmed by the Senate. He also I think needs probably a couple waivers. I assume the responsibilities devolve on the Vice Chair. But still seems pretty weird.

Never thought we'd see someone wrest away from J. Edgar Hoover the title of Biggest Asshole to Ever Lead the FBI, but looks like we did it!

Turns out the Dow doesn’t love it

Black General Fired, Replaced by Less Qualified White Guy, Because That’s the New DEI ‘Donald Engineered It’: This is an affront on many levels. It’s going to blow up in Trumpty Dumpty’s face and well it should. News broke early Friday night that C.Q. Brown, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of…

John Fetterman’s staff are leaving him in droves and there are awful rumors about how he treats them. Are we sure he’s not just three Kyrsten Sinemas sitting on each other’s shoulders in a hoodie? Our latest:

We can agree that it's shameful if it comes to fruition. I dont think there is any chance it does. I don't understand why people don't believe Zelensky is as good a negotiator as Mexico or Canada. He knows you give Trump the PR win and move on

So. It has officially happened. I have been officially let go from my position at CDC. I wasn’t a probationary employee. I had stellar performance reviews every year. I’ll be ok. But please understand that many worked HARD to get into these positions and were doing great public health work.

Better not call it a “vaccine” or it might not get approved. Maybe market it as a recreational drug.

Anyone else see that Cybertruck stuck in the snow while the Honda Fit drives right past it? Pretty much sums up America vs rest of the world.
