If I go into a restaurant and they tell me they only take orders via QR code (after i have installed their app, given them my contact details, waited on an email and clicked on a link), I walk out and go elsewhere

My approach is to focus on what I can control - mostly being a good citizen / neighbour / colleague / boss, treating all the people I deal with on a daily basis fairly and with respect whilst I look for opportunities to effect change.

Well said Dave. Hank its easy to surrender to feeling helpless as you watch things go South in a way you can't control, I get it.

Know that the rest of the world don't blame *all* Americans

www.theguardian.com/commentisfre... Pretty spot on, I just hope our friends in the US can pull things back on track (in less than 4 years)

I see what you did there ;)

Enjoy - wish I could forget this game and do it for the first time again :)

Pretty much swung by to say the same thing lol

Yup Fallout 4 and SF

4 of my most played games of all time :D

Got one of those when they came out and enjoyed playing with it :)

Started off with some DA: Veilguard, afternoon in Enshrouded and finishing off with some Diablo IV

I used to get that, found switching to a curved ultra wide and making sure my PC is able to sustain 100+ FPS has eliminated it entirely :)

Used the BBC B both at school and at friends' houses back in the day - one of the best 8 bit computers made I think, but never owned one. I remember seeing Zarch running on an Arc (must have been 1987) and being blown away by the graphics lol

Heh fairly similar yet different progression myself tho played with all of those at points. I went Acorn Atom, ZX81, Spectrum, CPC464, Atari ST then onto a 486 running Windows 3.1. At school played with the PET but never owned one

Yeah I get that - these do work as wired mice whilst charging so never cut short which does mean that's less of an issue
comment in response to post
Neither was I till I tried one of these - rechargeable, lasts a couple of weeks at least, pretty much zero latency - they've come a long way... But yeah the wired version of the same mouse is also very nice indeed

Logitech G G502 X LIGHTSPEED Wireless - best I've ever had tbh

No pictures but one of these circa 1981 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acorn_A...

Enjoyed these good clean fun 🙂

100% make up your own mind ! Many of the games I have had the most fun with are disliked by the hivemind...

Thanks :)

Not particularly for me, but then I focus on enjoying the journey and letting progression happen rather than focusing on getting a certain number to a certain value? (if that makes sense lol)

I'm moving older Pcs over to Linux Mint - its pretty nice linuxmint.com. Depends what you need to run on that PC but for many users its a good choice
comment in response to post
Indeed you don't, which is why its a shame (as with so many things these days) its turned into a toxic polarised "debate". Games are art, and whether you like them or not is personal preference :)

Been using 11 since it came out on all the PCs in the house, zero issues tbh its fine. As always the interweb hyperbole is just that.

Approaching 6k hours between Starfield and Fallout 4 :D
comment in response to post
Aye Twitter for sure, also seen a lot of it on public Discord servers too
comment in response to post
Thanks - I hope you enjoy your new playthrough ! What irritates me is the way the toxic-interweb-gamer-hivemind has decreed "its bad" (as seems to be happening all the time these days with pretty much every new game release)
comment in response to post
Yeah I kind of got heavily into ship building and cruising round the starfield :D

Despite what the internet hive mind seems to think its quickly become one of my favourite and most played games - love designing ships (here's one I made)
