Debatable, but unethical if the AI uses copyrighted materials without permission from the artists.
That alone is enough to make me detest people who claim to make art with it, just like comedians who steal jokes.

I’d also say that if someone using “AI” to generate images can’t be bothered to create their ideas with their own hands, without stealing from real artists, why should I bother engaging with it?

I’m going to take a different tact, and say that because it’s a **work** instantly makes it interesting to me. There’s a potential for communication from the artist, whereas AI is just slop - no human experience or connection…

Pedant Corner: I’ve heard it suggested that we should try to use the correct words when describing other people’s work.

This sucks, I would rather see a stick figure self portrait than a stolen imitation…

How about Hillary Clinton? She lost and didn’t even campaign in Wisconsin…
It’s not Comey’s fault Hillary couldn’t beat a candidate she supported in the primary…

I think one aspect is that maybe Waltz (as someone with more experience than Hegseth or Vance) intended this as a Samson-esque move where he could blow up the group chat and get things back on the secure side.

It’s also crazy to ignore the EW side of things - a system which does not require an active link, or refreshing the codes, can still be turned on the state rulers. A system with an active link is useless under isolated or harsh EM conditions.

Those people our actively hostile to our interests, which they proved during their presidencies.
Also, Obama regularly intervenes on the side of the Democratic party, so why not now?

This already happened in 2020 - Trump dispatched a team of US Marshals to execute Micheal Reinoehl, a protester who had previously acted in self defence with deadly force in Oregon.

Respectfully, how would this help Ukraine’s recruiting and training problems?
I guess if they had unquestionable air superiority it would be less of an issue…

Wait, is the US intent here to protect Ukrainians?
Or just bleed Russia or the Soviet Union? Because we already tried that in Afghanistan, with awful results for the US just ~13 years after….

Sure, but the aviation community doesn’t really care about “wrong” so much as identifying and mitigating risk.

This safety framework demands so much more than just assessing blame after mistakes.
As a member of the flying public, we need to demand safety even if a pilot or controller fail to follow instructions.
This can only be done by learning from mistakes and identifying causes, not punishing them.

Isn’t that how failed monarchies always end?

Do you have a source for this?
Did this occult influence in Rocketdyne come down from Jack Parsons? Or was that successfully rooted out?

Bit of a long article, but this piece in Slate shows the real people behind the laws.
