Thank you for the lol

Let's embrace the thought that trans kids are screwed if Trump and Musk wins so we shouldn't limit support to politicians who have voted the way we want 100 percent of the time.
comment in response to post
Yep, let's not support anybody who resists fascism unless they're perfect.

I love her!

Does Susan Collins have an opinion about this or is she just going to clutch her pearls?

Dale Ho is smart, competent and used to work for the ACLU. He is not going to rubber stamp this

Also going to their local office while they're on break. They won't be there but there staff will. A group of us will be going to our rep's local office - in addition to much of it being rural so will be hurt by losing the USPS he also represents two national park and surrounding areas.

Phone calls are good. Today a group of us are going to his local office.

As the saying goes - those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities

I am joining a group going to our Republican’s local office today. It took a while but the opposition is getting organized

I live about a mile from a drop box for my ballot. But those rural Americans who love Trump will have to travel a lot farther to vote.

That's the way to look at it!

Oh, jeez, it's not bad enough that I've been agreeing with Liz Cheney and George Conway, now I'm agreeing with Rand Paul????

So many Democrats in NY and Hochul and Adams are the best they can elect???

Thank you. I am so glad that you're still protecting Americans

Maybe they don't want to admit that tens of millions of Americans have repeatedly voted for and supported a narcissistic twit? It doesn't sound so bad if democracy is ended by an evil genius - but by somebody as stupid as Trump?
comment in response to post
George Conway, Adam Kinzinger, Liz Cheney, Kathy Hochul - I find myself agreeing with all different sorts of people nowadays

I sure hope that the crew has parachutes

Words fail me. The worst people are running, and destroying, the US

If you want to see big trees you can stop at Calaveras Big Trees State Park. Since it's a state park it is still funded and staffed. It's probably 30 minutes out of your way.

I want Nancy Pelosi back. I don't care that she's old.

We desperately need more judges like this person.

He was born in California.

This is the best way to live in today's world

Thank you for resisting

I once attended a zoom meeting with this judge. He is not stupid and he used to work for the ACLU. He will not tolerate this bs

Yeah - too late for my trip in two weeks but that's the last time I'm using Airbnb. Just got an email that they're changing their terms of service in April so I'd probably be cancelling anyway.

They got where they are because of their fathers' money but think they succeeded because they're geniuses.
comment in response to post
I dunno people like Trump and Musk have really benefited from the status quo and they don't have any problem letting go or norms & institutions.
comment in response to post
I think you're projecting. I am in awe of you. You are the ones history will remember because of your relentless - and risky - effort to help make our voices heard
comment in response to post
Yeah I have been remembering that skit. And how it ended with "well it was nice while it lasted"- ain't that the truth

Jeez and I figured I should fly this year before airfares skyrocket under Trump.

Fortunately I can and I like gardening. I've had a small vegetable garden but I'm putting in more raised beds. I justify the cost to myself but imagining how much food will be costing by August.
comment in response to post
And that is why I'm greatly expanding my veggie garden this year.

Just wait until Trump/Musk deports their cheap labor.

Maybe. But I like to reward positive change. Then again, it's a moot point - I doubt they'll change their policy.

I never had prime but canceled Target. I really liked ordering on line and having it brought to my car. I hope they change their policy back but until then no Target

As a Californian I can confirm that I have heard people with they could leave but it would be extremely difficult

You can't fix stupid but you can make it lose its job

I've been to Yosemite dozens of times. It is truly awesome. I hope that volunteers can help - or public opinion - or maybe even my terrible right wing representative who is supposed to be the representative for Yosemite National Park might do something positive for a change.

So having money and a fancy education doesn't prevent people from being willfully stupid.

Reagan paved the way for all this antigovernment bs. He is its godfather

I am glad that I visited Utah a lot a decade ago. I support SUWA but will not be spending money in Utah
comment in response to post
I am so sorry that this is happening. The NPS and all of us who don't support Trump do not deserve this. Please let us know what we can do to help (well, besides not going to Yosemite this year)
comment in response to post
In this case they didn't capitulate. They said no and called the police.
