Hey Mark, as you continue to investigate healthcare in the US, there is a wonderful model for non-profit community health care in some Canadian provinces called “Community Health Centres” which I think is the gold standard www.cachc.ca/about-chcs/

And it also makes democracy and institutions that protect human rights possible.

Jon you cannot imagine the tension and stress Canadians were feeling watching that game. The relief is incredible. It was so much more than hockey to us all, it was a pushback against the threats. Such a bizarre time. Boston fans were great hosts!

Same! I was like “WTH??” Oh I long for the days when it meant nothing else!

Same! Aside from the incredible hockey, for me it was also a lesson in the power of nationalism. I am not immune to it, and it is a powerful force, which is rather disquieting. I have not felt that way since I was at the 1995 Unity Rally in Montreal pleading for Quebecers to vote no. So strange!

I propose we do not normalize the southern regime’s horrific threat.

I have never cried over a hockey game before tonight. 🇨🇦❤️ Thanks Boston fans for hosting the final game and being kind to your northern neighbours in the stands ❤️

That they have to come to terms with what they did to enable this. They can make amends by being part of the opposition and to try to stop everything illegal, anti-democratic, or cruel, and give them some peaceful resistance tasks to do. That this is urgent and the world and reality has changed.

Oh I am envious! I would put in my darn snowshoes and trudge through the snow to go hear her speak (your northern neighbour here). So glad you had that chance to fill your well!

There are a lot of reports in Canada of snowbirds selling their home in Florida and moving back to Canada. Nothing like the threat of your home country being annexed, and tariffs, to make you feel unsafe. It is heartbreaking.

I am so so sorry. All of your work was important to society. This is a terrible loss for you, and for all of us. I hope you have lots of love and support in your life.

We are trying. It is a constant struggle.

Remember people elected the orange menace to the highest office of the USA twice…

Can confirm that is a hard no. What is disgusting is that some eejits will actually believe that crap.

Thank goodness. We still are an evidence based decision making lot here…

Exactly. And sophism hurts democracy.

Listing to #CBC this morning I was very moved by the reports of the passengers and crew moving quickly - despite their shock and being upside down in their seatbelts - to free everyone and get everyone outside. No fatalities but some folks are in critical condition. I so hope they all recover.

Except the FAA has nothing to do with Canada and our airspace and our airports and our own air traffic control. We just had a giant blizzard. That might have had something to do with it. I hate the orange menace too, but this one was likely due to the blizzard.

YES this is exactly it.
