Culture wars achieve nothing. They’re a waste of oxygen. The sort of headline grabbing posturing we’ve endured a lot of in recent years is dull & makes the country smaller. This week we’ve witnessed intelligent diplomacy and lawyerly skills at a time when they’re really required & it’s refreshing

Trump could be the biggest blessing this continent has ever wished for. If we really focused and really worked together then we are stronger then them all. Let them dabble in populist nationalism which is destined to fail. Starmer needs to grab this opportunity, Europe does also.

“I thank the people and government of the United Kingdom for their tremendous support from the very beginning of this war” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Oh dear. There are so many receipts. No wonder he wanted the earth to swallow him from the sofa in the Oval Office on Friday. Not a principle amongst them.

Follow the money .

You’ll learn a lot today about who are the true British patriots who stand by other sovereign nations and those that give succour to Trump, Putin and far right fascism

£2.26 billion - Keir Starmer approves a UK loan to Ukraine to help with their defence £4.79 billion - Rishi Sunak gives in COVID support to companies that are based off shore and so don't pay UK taxes I'll take Starmer over Rishi-Chancellor-Dr-Death-Sunak any day of the week

Proper Prime Minister. Christ it’s been such an age since we had one. 👏

Since 2016 I haven’t felt much pride for being British, that changed today. A great country, with a great PM, leading the free world.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer walks Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to his motorcade after their meeting in Number 10

💯 this

The 'divided Europe' that Russian TV is currently talking about...

Our PM has done us proud over the last few days. It's a good feeling and one I've missed for a long time.

The #EU has ~500 million citizens, versus #Russia's ~140 million and the #USA's ~300 million. The #EU's economy is ~8 times bigger than #Russia's (~17 trillion versus ~2.2 trillion). It's time the #EU became as much a military and foreign policy power as it is an economic one. #TheEUisBigger

Reform UK Ltd are the enemy. Look at the state of them.

Seven out of 10 Brits say it is important to the UK that Ukraine wins the war, but after yesterday events, there hasn’t been much in support for Ukraine from “patriots” like Farage, Tice or Anderson. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Sarah Smith @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social sounding like she was blaming Zelensky! Have we also got Putin fans in the BBC?

Please share the post below to show our 🇺🇸 friends what a war leader looks like 👇 bsky.app/profile/neur...

Anyone else watching the BBC news? Dear god, they've lost the plot. The BBC, Sarah Smith in particular, are defending Trump & Vance and laying into Zelensky. WTF? Is it me? Am I missing something?

Emmanuel Macron President of France 👏

Jeez, guys. This is bad. We should arrange some sort of Union of Europeans, or something.

Labour steps up attacks on Farage and Reform over pro-Russia stance

The Czech budget has received twice as much income from Ukrainian refugees over the past three years as it has spent on social assistance. Show this to the victims of Russian propaganda who scream about the harm to the country from Ukrainian refugees.

I remember feeling so angry after 2016 that people from other countries would judge all Brits because “we” voted to Leave. So I have huge sympathy with the 48% of American voters who did not help deliver the fascistic, nepotistic Trump to power now making the world less safe. But the 49.8%? 🤬

'Reform's Policies Are Dangerously Out of Step With Public Opinion and It's Time the Media Started Scrutinising Them' – Byline Times bylinetimes.com/2025/02/28/r...

The UK is going to have to make a choice. Do we stand with Ukraine and Europe? Or are we with Trump's America and Putin's Russia? That's what it comes down to. We must choose Europe.

Democracies stand with Ukraine.

NEVER FORGET FARAGE ADMIRES TRUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Need I say anymore

Repost & like, if you stand with President Zelensky!

The British press has given Nigel Farage’s party a free ride for too long bylinetimes.com/2025/02/28/r...

Word of the day is ‘huff-snuff’ (16th century): a hectoring bully or braggart.

Just posted by President Zelenskyy

Media needs to step up! On the NHS, Ukraine, Climate change & Brexit, Reform UK Policies Are Dangerously Out of Step With Public Opinion and It’s Time the Media Started Scrutinising Them’ In large part, the media created this monster & now it must hold it to account @bylinetimes.bsky.social

From the producers of "Stop Talking The Country Down" and "Why Do You Want Britain To Fail?"... comes a new style of Reform UK patriotism. ~AA

Every news channel has been saying all day the Tate brothers' history is one of misogyny, their return is shady, and the effect on victims traumatic. AND YET... all of them are standing by to livecast any remark the Tates care to make after landing, live and in full. You are part of the problem.

GSK to increase CEO pay packet from £10.6m to £21.6m a year. Corporate wealth is generated by workers. Will their pay increase by the same rate? No chance. Govt tells workers wage rises are inflationary. But hikes in exec pay, dividends, share buybacks are OK It is class war. archive.ph/3Q5ht

Class act from UK today in difficult circumstances. I knew Mandelson would be a top class ambassador, very smart choice. Starmer & Lammy represented 🇬🇧 very well to a tricky room. The idea of Badenoch doing this job doesn’t bear thinking about. A good day at the office!

Oliver Darcy has some very good points here

Great news!

The government needs to take action on this @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social
