The technical geniuses at DOGE strike again

Sending an email to employees asking them to list five things they did that week is a classic move from a manager who has no idea how to manage

That guy is Executive Director, Naval Sea Systems Command. He's basically the guy in charge of making sure the boats are good boats. And he has to send a frantic email out telling everybody to treat DOGE like a phishing attack.

Christopher Miller is the Executive Director at Naval Sea Systems Command. VADM James Downey is the commander of Naval Sea Systems Command.

NEW — The National Treasury Employees Union Chapter 282 just emailed its ~8,000 employee members strongly advising them NOT to reply to the “What did you do last week?” email from OPM/Musk.

George Zimmerman and Kyle Rittenhouse are walking free! They're doing fucking speaking tours!

This is going to sound mean & elitist & the meritocracy is bullshit but whatever: so many of the people they want to traumatize busted their asses & sacrificed & succeeded against big odds to carve out careers in government that don't pay well but help keep this place up & running...

1. I did the work of an employee you fired. 2. I did the work of a 2nd employee you fired. 3. I did the work of a 3rd employee you fired. 4. I did the work of a 4th employee you fired. 5. I did the work of a 5th employee you fired.

Echoing reporting from @tompelissero.bsky.social: The Rams have given permission for Matthew Stafford’s agent to speak with other teams about his value. This is not a trade request.

Just gonna note they’re doing exactly what I said they’d do. substack.com/home/post/p-...

He’s baaaaaaaaack

A loss. At home. To West Ham. Again.

Arsenal once again on the front foot but since they can score one mistake changes the game. Arsenal had a thousand crosses and even shot from outside the box. No goals. WHU on one break needs one cross, Gunners go into the half needing two goals in the second

Democrats are fundamentally misunderstanding the moment: We're not asking them to be *legislators* right now. We need them to be *politicians.* There's nothing to be done about the legislative situation. They're right about that. But there's PLENTY to be done as politicians.

one really interesting thing about congestion pricing is that Trump basically said “I am killing congestion pricing right now”, got a friendly puff piece in the New York Post, and then every other media outlet went along with it even though it turned out he actually did not kill congestion pricing

Of the Chiefs of Staff, vice chiefs of staff, and judge advocates general of the three branches, Trump fired all the women and Black people.

When I was a kid, I distinctly remember a phone call from a telemarketer asking for "the man of the house." My mom's reply: "speaking." God damn legend.

How it started. How it’s going

NEW: A regional FEMA chief of staff took Elon Musk's Fork in the Road offer. He has proof of receipt. But they didn't honor it. Instead, they fired him 13 days later. Now, this retired Navy captain is speaking out. www.thebulwark.com/p/musk-doge-...

Correct about the ongoing existential crisis of American democracy on every point, from one of the world's great scholars of democracy: (via: www.theunpopulist.net/p/trumps-ame...)

There are many mysteries and ambiguities in life but the nature of this gesture is not among them. It's a Nazi salute.

This is in fact a real picture and it will work nicely in the ads next year about the military families devastated by Elon's illegal firings.

Over on X, simple tweets by my colleague Greg Bluestein of the Atlanta Journal Constitution have been blocked. They were nothing but video of a town hall held by Rep. Rich McCormick R-GA where he was asked questions about DOGE

I used to report on the Koch brothers. There were all these layers of front groups and semi plausible deniability. Elon and Trump just go for it out in the open.

I'm sorry but I'm just not going to be cowering in fear of these clowns. They suck and they are cruel but they are not God.

Congress can reassert its Article I prerogatives--such as its Article I, Section 8, Clause 7 prerogative to "To establish Post Offices and post Roads"--any time it pleases Again, the fatal flaw in the Founders' design is the assumption no branch would roll over for another bsky.app/profile/davi...

A quick review of Hassett's prediction record: – 1999: The Dow should soon hit "36,000." – 2004: "I don't think a [housing] catastrophe is very likely." – 2020: Covid deaths will peak in mid-April, then drop off. And no, he never raised any concerns about trillions in covid aid under Trump.

this is just such comical trash behavior. you can really tell DOGE is nothing but red bull fueled shitposting little man tech dipshits who think this is an epic troll.

SCOOP: The director of data science and engineering for the United States Digital Service—which Elon Musk rebranded as the US DOGE Service—has resigned from her position. “I do not believe that DOGE can continue to deliver the work of USDS, based on their actions so far,” she said.

Remember, everything is part of the same story. They need to destroy our democracy and crush dissent because letting billionaires take over the government in order to steal from us isn't popular and a functioning democracy wouldn't allow it.
