Nothing kills my interest in a game faster than seeing AI generated content

I think we’ll get a ban on adult trans healthcare under this UK government. I think it’ll probably happen piecemeal with bans on GPs supporting us and bans on private care, followed by a de facto ban on new patients in the NHS.

Good Law Project holds a copy of new NHS Guidance published yesterday and it is clear that Wes Streeting is continuing his war on trans people. Remarkably the national health service is now directing GPs to cause harm to the community. 🧵

#NationalUnicornDay ? (o゜▽゜)o☆

“Being part of the movement is more fun than being outside it,” says Brian Eno. We agree! EarthPercent supports bold climate action by funding groups like the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty. Music has an important role to play as we work towards that future.

piggybacking off this: the most powerful sales technique in the world, for pretty much all of human history, has been word of mouth. If you like something someone made, TELL YOUR FRIENDS. Tell everyone. Leave reviews. Repost. Talk about it. Link to it and link to the artist. We depend on YOU.

Happy Trans Day of Visibility! 🏳️‍⚧️ My trans friends have been so supportive of me exploring my identity & reclaiming my lost Chinese names. Our differences carry shared commonalities, & celebrating each other uplifts us all. Trans friends: you are always safe with me and I see you for who you are 💙💗🤍

Why is Keir Starmer's government adopting policies that look perfectly designed to prevent its re-election? This column seeks to unravel the mystery and explain the fundamental forces that now govern our politics. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

If you need help with brainstorming or inspiration when writing, the Story Engine decks are a great tool. They provide prompts to spark your *own* imagination in new and interesting ways, and as an added benefit they don't plagiarise and guzzle natural resources to do so: storyenginedeck.com

0.000% of Communism has been built. Evil child-murdering billionaires still rule the world with a shit-eating grin. All he has managed to do is make himself *sad*. He is starting to suspect Kras Mazov *fucked him over* personally with his socio-economic theory.

Mononoke hime. Wanted to do a little mononoke fanart to celebrate the 4k release. The mood for fighting against the madness of men destroying the world for greed was there, but what a timing. Won't dwell on AI shit. Enjoy some human-made fanart.

Disability benefit cuts will push over 250,000 people, including 50,000 children, into poverty. So I asked the Chancellor — who earns over £150,000, accepted £7,500 in free clothes & took freebie tickets to see Sabrina Carpenter — if Austerity 2.0 is the "change" people voted for?

Not to be a wide-eyed naïf about such things but... am I right in thinking that they levelled an entire building to get to one guy and *that* is not controversial to anyone in the American media or political class, only that this information was recklessly shared in an unsecured chat?

This morning, the Israeli military deliberately targeted and killed beloved Palestinian journalists Hossam Shabat and Mohammed Mansour.

A gobsmacking story. Water companies let toxic waste disposers, for cash, dump their loads into sewage farms. The sewage sludge is then spread, untested, on farmland, potentially poisoning vast areas, entire ecosystems and the people (you and me) eating the food. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Once, when travelling to LA, immigration stopped me because I had Chinese visas in my passport. The agent seriously asked me if I was a communist, multiple times. It was a scary experience. I’ve also been questioned for having Malaysian stamps (because 🇲🇾= Muslim 🙄) /1 globalnews.ca/news/1109047...

Would you rather take 2% from a billionaire or stop regular people from being able to afford heating? The government needs to stop targeting regular people and start taxing billionaires to help rebuild a greener, fairer Britain 👏

As ever Labour fail to remember, there are those who are disabled, and there are those who are not yet disabled. Doubling down on austerity measures, scapegoating disabled people as the cause of economic difficulty, all with the hindsight of the past 15 years, is malicious beyond compare.

Mahmoud Khalil finally gets the chance to speak for himself: “My arrest was a direct consequence of exercising my right to free speech as I advocated for a free Palestine and an end to the genocide in Gaza, which resumed in full force Monday night.”

Killing hundreds of people in a mass bombing campaign "imperils the tenuous ceasefire."

At least 342 Palestinians have been killed as Israel launched a massive assault on Gaza, shattering the fragile two-month-old ceasefire with Hamas. 🔗: aje.io/iq30g6

if we want kids to love reading, we need to return to the ancient texts

Reading The Times report on speculated PIP cuts, I’m struck by not only how many people will lose vital support but how much we are already degraded to qualify. Have a stranger ask you how you wash “below the waist” and then tell us how easy it is to claim disability benefits.

Frodo don’t destroy the ring, you’ll just be playing into their hands by reacting at all imho

What a world. Capitalism "externalizes" costs to the point where the costs are "externalized" into our own bodies.

GenAI sucks and people who use and defend it suck. why drain a lake and steal people’s words to come up with something you couldn’t be bothered to create yourself. this isn’t creative writing, when no ounce of creativity has gone into making it, it’s regurgitated stolen slop.

Hold the damn line on this, authors. I have dozens of books I can't turn into audio right now because I can't afford to pay a narrator, but I WILL NOT use AI to circumvent them. We all stand together or we all get cooked.

"you are not immune to propaganda" i am. i dont watch tv. i just go online and develop conspiracy theories that are orthogonal to modern politics. bigfoot is an immortal magician living at the center of the earth

Absolutely disgusting. Using AI art, voices and "storylines" in his D&D campaign... What an absolute joke. "Enrich" their campaigns my ass, AI content is fucking gruel, grey slop. It doesn't "enrich" anything, it steals, robs, dilutes, reduces. It's a mockery of what the hobby is about.

Pinterest updated their terms of use and they're going to use all of the content you saved to train their AI. Go to options > your privacy rights > disable GenAI Please do it 🫠

hey y'all! ✨ if you're struggling to remember to put alt text on your image posts, BlueSky has a setting for that! 🩷 it won't let you post until you've added alt text to all images, and is a helpful reminder to make your work as accessible as possible 🩷

a lot of people don't talk about how hiring one guard that tells the truth and one guard who lies is actually a subtle anti-guard-unionization tactic

🚨BREAKING - Steve Reed has just launched the biggest review into the water sector since privatisation. But wait…..he says the commission can’t even consider public ownership. 🤯 We need to act quickly to change his mind. ⏰ Sign our petition now ✍️ weownit.org.uk/act-now/stev...

A fascinating & hopeful river-moment: Lewes District Council agrees to recognise a Charter of Rights for the River Ouse. “The Ouse has long been taken for granted…this is the beginning of a journey to give the river a voice & ensure its wellbeing for future generations.” elflaw.org/news/histori...

an homage to all the forgotten nintendogs (this is not really just about nintendogs) #art #promosky #nintendo

It's willingly ignorant to assign blame for AAA games studios being shuttered at anything other than corporate mismanagement and incompetence from an avaricious executive class. This is an industry where corporate suits saw monkey jpegs and thought "Yes, this is the future of gaming!"

Last year I made DriftBook, a psychogeographical drawing game inspired by the works of Guy Debord. Since I now have an itch page, I decided to upload it there too, where you can dowload it as a PDF for free (or leave a donation) <3 lurnoise.itch.io/driftbook
