I ended up listening to the University of #Oklahoma #TeachIn in the background today in the morning and after seeing patients while charting in the afternoon. It was very much directed at faculty, not students, and super nerdy, like Gilded Age cartoons nerdy. In a way, kinda therapeutic.

Got pulled to work literally last minute (all telehealth, fortunately) for sick #hospitalist colleague today and 1) being a misanthrope has advantages, I haven't been ill at all this winter 2) THIS IS WHY WE NEED FLU SHOTS- you know how chaotic hospitals will be when 50% of doctors are out sick?

Next year, the EU will require cars to have buttons & dials -- not just touchscreens -- to get a top safety rating. This is a great move. Drivers can fiddle with knobs & buttons without taking their eyes off the road, but they can't do that with touchscreens. (Even better: Tesla will hate this)

A second degree relative died of pancreatic cancer, both that and colorectal run in my family, I saw them suffer a miserable death when I was a teenager, and I stg if someone I love cannot get access to a literal cure to one of the worst cancers imaginable because the imbeciles in power ban it 🤦🏻‍♀️
