Is there any reason Bragg or James could not just indict him on state charges?
comment in response to post
It's anecdotal but I'm seeing normally apolitical normie suburban democrats calling house Ds straight up traitors for not joining Al Greens protest at trumps speech on social media. I saw one saying they should have thrown smoke grenades at trump during his speech.

Once again, everyone needs to read the book Dying Of Whiteness to understand how the modal trump voter thinks

Won't someone think of poor David Zaslav?

Does anybody know if the AG or Manhattan DA also had investigations against him? The funniest possible outcome would be Adam's getting arrested on state charges ten minutes after the federal charges are dropped.
comment in response to post
I mean, they could also file a criminal complaint with the capital police and have them arrested

Does he know he is president?

There were literally millions of people googling "did biden drop out?" like one week before the election

Not to mention that a lot of those farm owners will just go out of business after missing harvests, which will destroy many rural communities

The thing about the American catholic church is that so few Americans want to become priests they have been forced to bring in priests from Africa and Southeast Asia to fill in the gap. If he actually got what he wanted a lot of catholic churches would close due to lack of available priests.

Which is also funny because trump is only really "successful" because he inherited 400 million from his dad

One of the suburbs of the city I grew up in fought tooth and nail to stop a bus line from the city going to the mall in it so "those" people couldn't go to it. They made such a public racist stink over it someone made a national documentary about it.

Lol, I had this and I tell people about it and they absolutely do not believe me because it's such an insane thing to have existed

Beyonce, Jay Z, Michael Jordan, LeBron I believe now. Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan just sold there music rights for like 800 million each, and the remaining Beatles are up there too

For the most part, the only billionaires who grew up poor or middle class are athletes or musicians

I guarantee trump has not thought it through that much. He vaguely remembers news stories from his 30s about us giving back the canal to Panama, and wants to take it back because that's what a "tough" president like Teddy Roosevelt would do
comment in response to post
And Panama is just something he vaguely remembers from the late 70s as being important

The thing about feral hogs is that one thing we could do that could affect wild pig populations is to reintroduce apex predators like cougars and wolves into the midwest and the south where theyve been extirpated, but something tells me that would not be popular with the general population
comment in response to post
You can eat them. People eat wild boar all the time. As long as you cook it to 145 degrees parasites aren't an issue.
comment in response to post
Yeah, people want to read into it something more complex because they can't believe it's that stupid, but literally Donald Trump thought process is that cool presidents (in his mind) like Teddy Roosevelt and Andrew Jackson did territorial expansion, and he wants to be like them.

There was a cheesy post apocalyptic sci-fi show in NBC years ago called Revolutions about how electricity stopped working, and the US collapsed into small squabbling fiefdoms, but in the second season you found out Mexico had come out of it united and as the dominant power in North America

The thing about it is that the 1890s are famous for two large recessions caused by no banking regulation whatsoever and trade issues with the rest of the world. So naturally we should copy governance from the Cleveland and McKinley administrations, because it worked so well last time

Ramaswamys is a side character in Succession who gets arrested for running a ponzi scheme

I mean, I'm sure they noticed, it's just that reporting on bidens old age helps trump get reelected, and reporting on this person would not have helped trump at all

I'd recommend the book Dying of Whiteness if you want a deep dive into this

Also, Ohios Supreme Court ruled their map was gerrymandered against the state constitution multiple times and the gop controlled state assembly straight up ignored it and told the court to go screw itself

I do think America needs to brace itself for America going to war with Iran, maybe in conjunction with Israel. Trump hates Iran and is all in on Netanyahu, and the Israel govt seems to be champing at the bit to escalate with Iran. It may not be likely, but is much more possible than you'd like.

Polls are broken and useless because they get response rates of like 0.7% now, but none of them go to landlines and that has been the case for like fifteen years. Pollsters know no one has a landlines anymore.

Young men are about as conservative as men in other generations. Young women have moved much more leftward, so they look more conservative, but they are not any more conservative than boomer men or other generations. Gen X men do seem to legitimately be more conservative than other generations.

comment in response to post
In the 90s political scientists said that if polling response rates got below 30%, they were worried they would be useless. Currently the average response rate is like 0.7%, so polls may just be statistical noise now honestly
comment in response to post
I do think that is a factor, and I actually think polling is broken and it's going to a bit of a blow out in favor of harris, I just think that if it is close and the Republican party controls the house, they absolutely will try. They purged out all the members who voted to certify 2020 in 2022.
comment in response to post
I really hope you're right, I've just lost all faith in any elected Republican politician doing the right thing
comment in response to post
New York has a lot of swing house districts, I think his plan really is win the house so they can just steal the election regardless of whether harris wins
