I think there is something to say about the overconsumption of media which primarily objectifies women and the treatment of women irl. Anime objectifies tf outta women and young girls. In a lot of respects Japan's otaku is perceived like our incel- antisocial behavior & violent tendencies.

Not only are they raising the tax from 10 to 15%, but switching up licensing after all the dispos/cultivars already spent money to get them means the prices are gonna double, & a half ounce was already $150 before taxes. This tax is on top of regular sales tax btw, so effectively 25% tax
