I think I might be in love….

Millions of 1950s women worked and paid taxes for half a century. Then they retired and found out they were a burden on the taxpayer.

Nobody has ever dropped a more fire comeback than, “The bar is so low it’s a tripping hazard in hell, and yet here you are limbo dancing with the devil.”

Can I just say that if you are feeling in need of a little distraction check out Simons Cat on Youtube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lsc-...

Good morning ✨

If you’re reading this, give that job the bare minimum today 🤌🏽

The Liverpool Echo is now on Bluesky. bsky.app/profile/live...

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer is on tonight. The classic tale of when people treat you like shit until they find out you can do something for them. 🦌🦌🦌

hello, 911? yes, there are a bunch of people here and they are absolutely DEMANDING some figgy pudding

We have storm Darragh going on here in the UK at the moment. My bins are still standing. 57km per hour according to Alexa. Worried about the flimsy roof over a lean-to outside but focusing on distracting myself with a good black and white film on you tube later today. I wonder which one it will be.

We have storm Darragh about to hit us tonight and I am a nervous wreck. I have a partially damaged plastic lean to cover over a storage area and am scared this could get worse. I thought we had the storm last night but no, there is another tonight. Plus no repair person has responded. 😟

Only just realised that 'endorphin' is a shortening of 'endogenous morphine'. Our own bodies produce Class As when we go running or dance about the kitchen. WILD.

Today four of us from my group "Wirral Amblers" spent time walking round Port Sunlight in silly hats to raise money for Claire House on their Christmas Hat Day. One thing I noticed was how many people veered off when they saw us coming.

I have a corrugated plastic roof covering a storage space below. It is only as high as a shed roof and runs between the shed and the house. Part of it has been torn off in the winds we had a week or so ago. I didnt notice it sooner. Now I am trying to think of ways to fix it or who to get in.

star wars did give us a slur for robots (clankers) but i don’t use it bc i don’t want to have to look a robot in the eye in fifty years and be like “you don’t understand it was a different time…”

Had a fantastic Christmas meal yesterday with my group Wirral Amblers. We went to the Hinderton Arms in Neston and it was brilliant. Large portions, humourous staff, well decorated venue and good company. This was our table.

Just read of other experiences of Intermittent Fasting which is something I have been doing for quite some time now. It is now rare for me to be willing the clock to move to my eating phase. Sometimes I dont realise I am beyond it and havent felt hungry at all.

👏 Social Justice Secretary @sa4dunfermline.bsky.social on this morning’s #SundayShow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 @thesnp.bsky.social is standing up for Scotland by reinstating Winter Heating Payments after the UK Labour Government slashed the funding. “Step in and protect our pensioners.” 👇

Have to share this.... youtu.be/VpETnTAhqgM?... Sweet Child of Mine. People are saying it is better than the original.

This wrecks me—every single time.

Hope this shows up in full.

A couple of photos from my walk today with my group "Wirral Amblers". We did a section of the Wirral Way which is an old railway which was closed and turned into a footpath with a bridle path alongside. We stopped off at Hickorys in West Kirby.

Off out with my walking group today, walking another section of the Wirral Way on the Wirral. There will be five of us today. We dont walk far or fast but it keeps us moving and socialising which is important as we get older. Photos to follow.
