News Corp in Australia are running campaigns to try and incite violence towards Jewish people, and film / report on the incidents - this attempt was botched and now the internal documents planning the provocation in News Corp's system are leaked @crikey.com.au www.crikey.com.au/2025/02/14/n...

Well worth a read. This is one of the biggest media companies in the world plotting to sow division in Australia at a time of heightened concerns about what the government loves to call “social cohesion”. Where is the outrage from the government? Where are the repercussions for the perpetrators?

I always knew it was possible that the world would be taken over by exceptional evil geniuses. I didn’t suspect that it would be taken over by mediocre evil morons.

"Australia is not small. We’re just told that it is when our leaders want to avoid intl responsibility. "As the world’s 13th largest economy, with a GDP about the size of Russia’s, our choices matter. "What happens in Australia matters globally." @pollyjhemming.bsky.social #ClimateIntegrity

"The climate crisis is not an economic crisis….it is not a technological crisis. It is a crisis of integrity." "As a nation we decide that short-term profit for a few corporate players is more important than life itself. "Or we decide that it is not, & act accordingly." @pollyjhemming.bsky.social

“Fossil fuels remain cheap because they have never paid for the damage they have done” The Hon Doug Cameron, former Senator for NSW at the #ClimateIntegrity Summit.

Media Watch on Lattouf last night generally sensible critique, but the implication Lattouf shouldn’t have been hired because she previously expressed an opinion on the war is absurd and not found in any policy. This is from a network that has previously hired Howard-era immigration ministers ffs.

Marles is irredeemably obsequious & pathetic But if he'd shut up about being 'very proud' of his racist friend Peter Dutton we wouldn't need to further lower our estimation of him on that count

The Australian is accusing other media outlets of lacking balance…because when your entire business model is founded on lies, the truth is completely unrecognisable

At our ABC a senior journalist, Jacob Greber, is still quoting Mike Pezzullo as a reliable source. Pezzullo was sacked, had his AO revoked, was recognised as a Tory political operative. Pezzullo cheered on war with China and demanded a “right winger” as minister of “his” department. #AusPol

The ‘ambassador’ posting to the Vatican has always been a lurk, a disgusting waste of our money & a betrayal of hundreds of Australian children attacked by priests. The Catholic Church is an obscenely wealthy organisation perpetrating the worst of crimes & cover-ups, not a country. What a farce.

I just can’t believe we’re doing this. Not a single credible expert says it’s good for us. The only reason we’re doing it is so Labor is seen to be strong on defence & so they don’t get wedged by LNP/Murdoch/Stokes/Nine/ABC (they will anyway) #auspol

Thank you to Matthew Knott from The Age for calling it ethnic cleansing. He will now be branded as antisemitic by Zionists, but he is 100% factually correct. #auspol www.smh.com.au/world/middle...

The constant conflation of anti-Zionism with antisemitism and the refusal of major institutions like our universities to countenance criticism of Israel's blatant, unseeable crimes against humanity are a complete and utter crock. #auspol #FreePalestine www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Around 35% of SpaceX’s revenue comes directly from the federal govt. Less than 1% of NPR’s budget comes from the federal govt.

FBI Uncovers Al-Qaeda Plot To Just Sit Back And Enjoy Collapse Of United States

Article 7 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court provides that "deportation or forcible transfer of population" is a crime against humanity. Australia is a party to the Rome Statute and obliged to enforce its provisions. Trump's plan to remove the population of Gaza is criminal.

Once again, the Business Council has trotted out its usual self-serving "reform" recommendations, for gullible journalists to parade as meaningful insights. So we came up with some things the BCA could do to actually help prosperity.

“Audacious.” What the fuck are these people doing.

Elon Musk is so close to finally killing California high-speed rail — a goal he’s pursued for over a decade — even though his alternative the Hyperloop is an absolute joke. Killing HSR is about keeping people trapped in cars and planes.

i’m beginning to think putting the billionaires in charge of the news media was the wrong idea

As someone of Jewish heritage, I feel unsafe that some influential Jews can get Peter Lalor sacked by falsely conflating fair criticism of Israel with antisemitism. I also feel unsafe knowing the Israel lobby has such unchecked power over our media and politics, and pretends to speak for all Jews.

To be clear, if Trump says he “disagrees with the leadership” in your country and suggest that “something should happen there” then it probably means you’ve got the right kind of leaders. Trump only likes “leaders” that are like him or bend the knee to him. If he likes yours, pick different ones.

It took us 4 years to realise emperor ScoMo had no clothes. 3 years to see Albo has no balls. Vote 1 Independent this election and let’s start dismantling the billionaire owned duopoly.

With reports ex-NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, ousted over “seriously corrupt conduct” — which she still refuses to admit — is campaigning for the Liberal Party…it’s worth remembering the Wagga gun club grant has been a massive waste to taxpayers (ICYMI): theklaxon.com.au/corrupt-bere...

Just re-upping this again because the Temu Trumps in the LNP insist on bringing every culture war here: the Morrison govt spent $20.8bn on consultants in its final year - the equivalent of 54,000 FT public servants. The private sector benefits with govt cuts. No one else.

Elon Musk, encouraged by his mother and an army of his cultish fans, is threatening tonight to sue a Washington Post journalist for pointing out on live TV that neo-Nazis welcomed his salute on Inauguration Day. Can we finally put the ‘he’s a free speech absolutist!’ BS to bed?

Wow. it must feel terrible when someone takes something you made and uses it without permission or payment

For how much gas is exported from WA, you would think that the people of WA would be reaping the rewards 🤔 Turns out, NO ROYALTIES are paid on 73% of the gas exported from WA. 🚫No royalties = gas being given away for FREE @elinorjohnstonleek.bsky.social #auspol youtu.be/Jk60jq_yTsA

In Australia authors get paid for their work even in the library system where people are able to borrow for free. A beautiful system for all, impeccably executed here.
