Yet another way that golf is bad

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has their electronic signage asking drivers to “consider less trips” because of the awful air quality when they should be considering their role in reducing car dependency. @mndot.mn.gov

Our approach to climate change summed up in one photo from @mprnews.org . 🫠

Two federal raids today in the same case. Lake Street in Minneapolis gets an armored vehicle assault. Bloomington gets the stereotypical agents in FBI windbreakers. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G2q...

If you build infrastructure and urban spaces for people, even in a suburban city, people will use it and livability will improve. A Monday night... Carmel, Indiana

American cities choose not to do better. We have choices, and what we prioritize is abundantly clear.

Walkable, mixed use communities create positive feedback loops. Not only do they support resident health and wellbeing, community building, and diverse local business, they do an impressive job of funding local public services.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! 🎉🚲🪩

We have another chance to get St. Louis Park City Council to make city engineering narrow the lanes on Louisiana Ave. Tomorrow they plan to approve the $12M for construction. Tell them not to approve without narrowing the lanes! Contact info: www.stlouisparkmn.gov/government/c...

Watching U S cities under-fund transit is like watching them choose traffic jams, battered roads, soaring maintenance bills, mobility barriers for residents, and preventable injuries and deaths.

A simple urban planning motto to live by. The best way to enforce the rules of the road isn’t through signage telling people what is and isn’t allowed, it’s through the design of the streets themselves intuitively informing and enforcing the desired outcomes.

The driver of this car doesn't know that bicycles are allowed on the parkway. They honked at us incessantly disturbing not only us, but probably everyone at cedar lake 😡

I guess I'm a journalist now 🤯

First backyard morels of the year! 🍄🥳

THIS is why we created @mplscargobikelibrary.com . Yes… also for climate, accessibility, community connection, economic benefits, etc. But enabling bike joy like this over and over every week is the absolute best. Thank you to all who have donated to support more of this!

Whoa, Geno_ATB attended Saturday’s DJ ride and made this peaceful edit! Check it out.

"'We deserve to get around,' Seaarra says. 'We can be fast or slow, we can use our bodies as mobilized vehicles to get around without having to rely on cars.'" Proud to have Sea on our team! Read more from @streets.mn streets.mn/2025/05/06/a...

All but 4 of the 25 native plants I planted last fall survived the winter. One of the columbines is even flowering already 🌻

The amount of times they say it's "not suspicious" is very suspicious to me 🤔 www.startribune.com/chaska-polic...

Freewheel Minnetonka Monday again today! Swapping the pedal powered margaritas for canned NA and a beverages and the tacos for burgers and veg burgers. See you at the shop at 6:15!

Still a great night! The 17 bus came in like one of the giant eagles from lord of the rings and then I picked up the jank mobile using a Subaru outback

🚨Emergency Bike Ride tonight! See you at 7. events.humanitix.com/wedge-live-e...

Need some encouragement? Minneapolis doesn’t have many hills, but we do have a small one near our home that we take often. When my kids are on their own bikes I often encourage them with “You got this! Just get to the purple flowers at the top of the hill.” Today my 6yo did this:

TODAY!!! 2pm! Perennial Cycle in SoUptown! The weather is looking perfect for today, see y'all this afternoon for the first official ride! @perennialcycle.bsky.social @joyfulridersclub.bsky.social @patiomensch.bsky.social @sylvie-h.bsky.social @puzosuperelli.bsky.social @jakeencinas.bsky.social

Even before the Stonewall riots, our LGBTQ+ community has been fighting to survive. They deserve a leader who will stand up for them, and never compromise their rights.  As your Council Member I know it’s my duty to be the first line of defense for my community. (1/3)

We wonder why kids lack freedom and autonomy, but when bike lanes become parking, we’re reinforcing a cycle where cars dominate and kids can’t safely move outside them.

We need accountability for highway projects now! We can't wait 3 years!

Too many Minnesotans feel like the bottom could fall out at any moment. I know what that’s like. My hardworking single mom relied on public schools, public housing, and Medicaid to get by. That's why I'm running for Senate - to be a loud, clear voice for families like mine. shorturl.at/zw6MH

Today! Minnetonka Monday Cinco De Mayo Edition! Meet at Freewheel Minnetonka at 6:15 PM roll at 6:30 back by 8 for tacos and bicycle blended margaritas! MTB: rolling to lone lake to ride the hero dirt Gravel: 16 mile loop around neighborhoods and trails www.strava.com/routes/32505...

I dream of a day when drivers, faced with this choice: 1. park on the other side of the street 2. use the alley 2. block car traffic for 20 secs 3. or illegally & unsafely drive in the bike lane .... will not do this. People on 🚲/🛴/👨‍🦼 deserve safety & comfort on their trips, too.

People need homes. We’re short 100,000 homes in MN. In OR, they figured out how to build more. Yet, the #mnleg has failed to make meaningful progress to make it easier to build more homes. Why? City pressure. Talk to your city about why they oppose real fixes to our statewide housing shortage.

Please help me understand how poisoning our water is critical to national security. www.startribune.com/trump-names-...

What if we 👉🏻👈🏻 lived in homes 🫢 and they touched 😳.

Pedestrians who are hit by SUVs are 44% more likely to be killed than if they were hit by a conventional car, new study finds. Children are 82% more likely to die when hit by an SUV than by a car. In children under 10, the risk of death was 130% higher. Regulate vehicle size now.

Weee! 🚲 Look at all of these wonderful people from @thewaroncars.bsky.social , @cleverhood.bsky.social , @bikemn.bsky.social & @mplscargobikelibrary.com riding around Minneapolis last week. (Video credit: Isaac at @cleverhood.bsky.social)

This is America.

I'm down. I lived eight years in Maine, so I think I am somewhat prepared for this challenge. Please note, Minnesota, I said *somewhat*
