Interesting thing for the President to say about a person who, according the government’s lawyers, “has no actual or formal authority to make government decisions himself” and “only has the ability to advise the President, or communicate the President’s directives.”

“criminal alien”

Trump's lawyers are absolutely flailing in the courts right now

trump wants to be able to tell the USPS not to deliver ballots to blue states www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

Usually when states go to court alleging federal coercion in violation of the 10th Amendment there is not a literal video of the President doing it.

Mr. Cuban you are describing foreign policy choices through the vein of goofy mafia guys in their burger-stained suits extorting the grocery clerk who’s being actively robbed by the burger-suits mob boss And you’re saying all this rocks because 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑💰💰💰💸💸💵💸💵💵🤑💵

The executive board of the National Association of Secretaries of State is urging DHS Secretary Kristi Noem not to eliminate CISA's election security services to state and local governments as part of CISA's ongoing ES program review: bit.ly/3Qrj223

Obviously this is bad and very stupid, but the tenor of this kind of Trump communique is very funny to me. It's a real HOA energy, just someone being annoying and small who knows they're being that way, and who more or less sees that as both their highest personal calling and the purpose of the job.

Here’s Brian Kilmeade of all people in this world trying to get Trump to recognize a basic fact and he won’t. Fox is already willingly lying in bed over the Canada garbage, how long before they fold on his revisionist history of Ukraine?

Weird how EFFICIENT this program is and they’re getting rid of it?? I am so baffled

"Hochul is dithering about whether to use her powers. AOC, in contrast, exercised her 1st Amendment rights to inform her constituents about their 4th Amendment rights. In doing so, she showed that the administration is tyrannical. She also showed that it’s weak — if you’re willing to confront it."

okay, it’s time for me to finally weigh in: it’s probably a bad sign that guys are just doing sieg heils in public again

Here’s a good model for responding to this dipshit’s letters:

Proposing any sort of legislation encourages the argument that the firings are anything but massively illegal. Democrats cannot and should stop trying to legislate their way out of this problem. It is speedrunning the country into fascism by the biggest dumbasses on the planet.

I know the exact type of jokes he’s talking about and in most actual public places, especially bars full of young people, those jokes will get you in some trouble.

It’s their reality or you’re left to your devices. The dumbest attempt at historical revisionism. The trump admin themselves recognized all of this when it happened.

As always, @chriswarcraft.bsky.social is a real one.

Fantastic OPSEC display by an ICE legal counsel (not)

He’s face to face with people that likely investigated his cyber crime activity LAST JUNE

pwease just dont bring those mean guys who say we cant do this pwease 🥺👉👈

These barely-sentient people who believe deranged stuff like “we should make Canada the 51st state so they can vote for us” must be purged from the Democrat party.

God this break up is going to potentially bring down one of the greatest powers humanity has ever seen

I've noted some of the procedural things Democrats could be doing in Congress, but this point from @edgeofsports.bsky.social's great piece in the Nation deserves emphasis. This is basic politics, and it's baffling that every Democrat isn't doing it every day. www.thenation.com/article/poli...

I think most people are intuitively aware of this but something like the official White House account posting an “ASMR” video of shackled immigrants is not just cruel for its own sake, it’s intentional envelope-pushing to ramp up to desensitization over inhumane detention, camps, and deaths

The head of the Social Security Administration—a faithful government employee with 30 years of service—stepped down as administrator rather than comply with DOGE. She's seen some stuff in 30 years. She would know when a request is dangerous to the American people. apnews.com/article/s...

I know for a fact this is an area that desperately needs help, and the folks on the ground at CISA doing this work were respected in the IoT/OT sec community. I hadn’t heard otherwise. This sucks

Embarrassing, spineless, expected

You can still order four free tests. Do it quickly and ask others to do it, even if you don't feel you need them. Others in your community will. covidtests.gov

Pretty soon the network state is going to learn it takes a people and not a complex network of fascist geeks

This is fucking incredible.

Incredible that, once again, with a minuscule amount of scrutiny, the DOGE savings are filled with falsehoods and misrepresentation of data - xcancel.com/electricfutu...

We’re already past the point where dems need to get every single one of these instances on record in committee. Are any of them talking about this?

At least the seething I can imagine one of those dweebs had while typing this gives me a teeny tiny amount of solace

MAGA consent machine goes brrrrrrrrrrr

They really don’t want the folks behind the CFPB to do their work. It’s telling enough.

A government contractor that works with the Air Force, Navy, Department of Energy etc wants to buy some iPhone hacking tech for a military customer. So, they asked us? A group of journalists? Sure why not. More here: www.404media.co/why-is-a-gov...

1. OSHA has ordered the digital and physical destruction of 18 publications on workplace safety practices, according to an email obtained by Popular Information. The email says the publications have been removed from the web and tells staff that physical copies should be "disposed of or recycled"

What’s so funny about the Elon takeover is they keep referencing using the law to go after dissidents and fake fraud. What happens when they lose in the courts because they shit the bed under any scrutiny every time?

Love this angle on actual data analysis
