Indicative of one major problem with Musk's strategy of making massive indiscriminate cuts and then reversing them in cases where he decides he made a mistake. Some mistakes aren't that easy to reverse!

Yeah this time around I'm much more on the side of just let them burn things down for a bit. The American public has pretty well deluded itself into not caring about electing obviously petty corrupt unstable idiots who campaign on destroying things. If shielded from consequences they won't learn.

Vance probably doesn't like that Germany criminalizes Nazi endorsement. He follows accounts that would be charged under that law.

They're optimizing for speed. Shaving 0.2 seconds off that turn helps them live a more fulfilled life.

"They wouldn't do that, that would be stupid, therefore you must be lying about what they want to do" is a load-bearing pillar of the Republican Party, and it's why we must touch the stove.

My next attempt is hook style bone conduction headphones that I'll add earplugs to when I want noise cancellation. I assume we will get to a point with radio and circuitry and battery minification advances that bluetooth earbuds can be as small and comfortable and stable in-ear as Eargasm earplugs

This administration is the most pro-rape in recent history. That fact alone is pretty explanatory. Good luck with your strongly worded letter.

I'm not Christian now but half my childhood was in the Catholic church and half was Episcopal. If I ever went back to church it'd be Episcopal. The right wing attacks on it are unbelievable, including literally, when Trump ordered the tear gassing in 2020.

It was not settled, Trump says they are simply paused and he will decide in a month whether he is happy or whether to go forward with the tariffs.

I am not fan of Khanna's friendliness to people like David Sacks and silicon valley investors, but I think this specific thing he gets a pass on because it does seem accidental. I think he does want Musk called to testify to Congress about what he's doing.

He did say, in the next tweet in the thread. He was meeting with Mexican officials about countering Trump's tariff plans.

He wasn't taking the day off. It's common for legislators to leave committee sessions to go to meetings. There may have been a communication issue here where the other democrats on the committee didn't tell him ahead of time there would be a vote. Or he was "in a meeting" on purpose. Hard to assume.

As people have more money and more time and resources to engage in travel + leisure activities, the direct cost and opportunity cost of having children goes up, and they have fewer children. Possible after some time and culture changes, and financial incentives like subsidized daycare, it rebounds.

Wait all federal payments come from the Treasury? Insightful discovery Mr Musk. How did no one figure this out before.
