At this stage, Trump’s deal is best ignored. Ukraine & Europe need to, and can, win outright. If Trump then tries to help Russia (eg lifting sanctions), the EU should consider sanctions on anything enabling of Russia from the US.

We can’t even convict foreign criminals. Nor homegrown ones. Because - and I know ministers like to pretend this isn’t true, but we will keep saying it - the criminal justice system is in absolute meltdown. So maybe address that before making little league tables of which foreign is the baddest.

Something that gets lost in the Uk, is that reading the news to inform yourself, & trusting that information, is how it’s supposed to work. Reading the Telegraph or the Times is not supposed to make you worse informed about the issues of the day than you started off, but unfortunately it does.
