Reeves has now said publically that the EU is our natural ally and trading partner and the relationship is "even more important than with the US." What truly excellent news! ♥️🦋🕸️ www.theguardian.com/business/202...

People are being too hard on Donald Trump for crying out “Vladimir, stop!” Anybody can forget their safe word.

At this stage, Trump’s deal is best ignored. Ukraine & Europe need to, and can, win outright. If Trump then tries to help Russia (eg lifting sanctions), the EU should consider sanctions on anything enabling of Russia from the US.

Back at work today, and full of thoughts about the Supreme Court judgment last week. It’s much more nuanced than it might seem at first glance, and it’s hard to cut through the vitriol around it. That’s understandable - it’s obviously very emotive. I’m going to try break down the legal principles.

Gary hits the target like he did in 1986 in the game against Poland. The same affliction applies to the Labour government.

ANDREA JENKYNS' DAY OF RECKONING THIS FRIDAY Will she release phone records? The recent Independent article on Andrea Jenkyns, Reform UK's candidate potentially lying about the address she gave as proof of eligibility for standing as Greater Lincolnshire Mayor.

Women who are into self care and personal growth, you HAVE to watch this, I literally pissed myself laughing, can SO relate 😂 Men who are into women who are into self care and personal growth - not sure what to say to you 😜

We can’t even *convict* foreign criminals. Nor homegrown ones. Because - and I know ministers like to pretend this isn’t true, but we will keep saying it - the criminal justice system is in absolute meltdown. So maybe address that before making little league tables of which foreign is the baddest.

Something that gets lost in the Uk, is that reading the news to inform yourself, & trusting that information, is how it’s *supposed* to work. Reading the Telegraph or the Times is not supposed to make you worse informed about the issues of the day than you started off, but unfortunately it does.

Little wonder Gove was a cheerleader for an early election. A peerage awaits. Gove is more slippery than Teflon covered in WD40.

I was always under the impression, having worked for massive investment banks and law firms, that insider trading was illegal 🤷‍♀️ Silly me.

Wow. Democracy beat the billionaire ♥️🔥

The thing about all these pieces complaining about Marine Le Pen's conviction is that not a single one of them bothers to explain why someone found guilty of embezzling millions of Euros from public funds should be allowed to get away with it

Senator Cory Booker has started his 19th hour on the Senate floor during his filibuster. "I don't understand how we can be a nation with so much wealth and abundance and we haven't figured out a way to design a system where, when you invest in the wellbeing of people, people thrive." Bravo, Cory!

"When he said, 'I have the highest poll numbers of any Republican for the last 100 years,' that wasn’t just wrong, it was the opposite of reality: At this point in their terms, every other GOP president since the dawn of modern polling has had more support than him." www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

Rejoining would revive our economy and boost our security| Martin Roche @cluthaman.bsky.social

Houchen calling the public questions insane and the public themselves idiots is actually reprehensible. What on earth are Labour waiting for? This man should be no where near public service.

Marine Le Pen and Nigel Farage are old friends. They both took a LOT of money from the EU without doing any work for it. One of them has now been convicted of embezzlement. It would be interesting to know if the UK authorities have ever even investigated Nigel Farage. #FightFascism

The videos in this article are so important to watch. You can see the disdain in Houchen’s face as he bats away any sort of public scrutiny. Labour needs to step up. They cannot state they are a party of public service whilst simultaneously allowing a Metro Mayor to call the public idiots.

“Putin wants to destroy Ukraine…. Trump cannot stand up to him… Trump’s theatrics and phone calls change nothing. He is Putin’s ally, not ours. What comes next will be up to Europe, not America” For all our sakes, we must do this, together. @iandunt.bsky.social liveapp.inews.co.uk/category/the...

"I do not want AI to write my books for me, or paint my pictures. If you outsource your creative work to a computer, you're not a creative. Someone who merely churns out product is a salesperson, not an artist." Abso-fucking-lutely! Down with AI 'creativity' www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

“Forget what Starmer says. Britain has to choose… Gradual strategic disengagement from America, coupled with renewed integration in a reformed, revitalised Europe is the only sane, safe path. Stop feeding the monster. He will devour us all” Superb. And so right. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

REALITY CHECK: Americans Don’t Trust Trump on the Economy— For Good Reason.

We're about to find out who is in charge in the US. Will the big financial players continue to support Trump in return for rich pickings as businessess go bust & the US govt rakes in tariff money from their own citizens for tax cuts to the wealthy? Or will they decide the stakes are too high?

Not much mention of NE England but let’s see what investment comes and hopefully without DfT interference and timelines in excess of 30-40 years. www.gov.uk/government/n...

"Best friends" don't try to cripple your economy, never mind annexing you

Scientists have just cured pancreatic cancer in some patients with personalized mRNA vaccines. Pancreatic cancer. And this Trump administration wants to throw it all away. They’re throwing away a cure for cancer.

Fair question.

To preserve democracy our Founders set up 3 separate branches of government – the Executive, the Legislature & the Judiciary. Two are already corrupted. The last pillar standing is the Judiciary - the rule of Law. Trump is now intent on rendering it powerless so that he will have unfettered power

My country ❤️ Serbia has a population of around 6 million AND this isn’t even all the people that attended. People have been arrested, threatened, ran over by cars, beaten, have lost their jobs and most recently been victims of an illegal sound cannon, but they’re not giving up.

This morning Ben Houchen has announced a "£12.5m investment" into Teesside Airport. Except he hasn't.

Police admit arrest of anti-monarchy heckler in Oxford was unlawful www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

What's funny about Tesla: their still-huge share price isn't just about cars. It's predicated in part on the idea that Tesla's Optimus robots will sell by the billions and do household chores for people. But who could possibly now think people will want Elon's robots in their homes?
