"Trump, who has benefited from the protections of due process more than perhaps anyone else in American history, doesn’t see why it should be afforded to anyone else."

We even got the media to cover it! Thank you everyone!

“The country is now run by thugs and idiots.” Sooooo true.

Goldman: "Think about whether any of us want to vote a certain way but bc we fear for our personal safety, we decide to vote differently. We are no longer representing our constituents. We are representing something else more like the bully threatening us. That is more like Vladimir Putin operates"

Such a cascade of fuck ups got us to this moment

Never forget: Trump was handed an awesome economy. He was handed the best post-Covid economy of ANY industrialized nation. He was handed an economy with employment way up, consumer spending way up, the markets way up, & inflation down. And in only 13 weeks, he’s fucked it all up.

Just in case those of us fighting for democracy in court didn't need another challenge, Big Law turning collaborators is here and growing. My firm and others continue to fight. We will never back down. We will never bend a knee. We will never obey.

In case you're wondering... it's been 17 days since a reporter was added to a Signal group chat where our government officials were sharing war plans. And nobody has been fired... Don't stop talking about SignalGate

I know others have said this, but all this tomfoolery could end literally tonight if Congress had 1 ounce of its historical forebears’ gumption

Sen. Adam Schiff to NBC: "People have seen their retirement savings on fire and there he is out on the golf course. That may end up being the most enduring image of the Trump presidency. That is, the president out on a golf cart while people's retirement is in flames."

THIS. #HandsOff

This "tariffs are sometimes good" nonsense is literally the worst possible Democratic message. Your political opponent literally blows up the global economy and your response is "maybe he has a point." Astounding malpractice.

It appears this is the fourth worst back to back day for the DJIA in American history with a two day combined -8.65% loss, only trailing the 1929 crash, 1987 Black Monday, and the 2008 crisis.

Over $2.8 trillion in value wiped from US stock market today alone.

US stock market is down 10% since Trump’s inauguration, the worst 10-week start under a new president since George W. Bush in 2001 during the height of the dot-com selloff.

Crawford: I never could have imagined that I'd be taking on the richest man in the world for justice in Wisconsin. And we won.

Cory Booker has taken the Senate floor and plans to filibuster as long as he’s physically able to protest the complete disregard for the rule of law by Trump and Musk. Watch here: www.c-span.org/event/us-sen...

Corrupt judges let a criminal get away with treason and run for president. Propagandists masquerading as journalists lied to enough people that the criminal won. Then the criminal sold a half share in the presidency to the world's richest man, whom no one voted for. That's what happened, folks.

There needs to be push back to this right away

This, from Timothy Snyder, is definitive, on Greenland open.substack.com/pub/snyder/p...

Elon Musk has been a walking SEC violation for a decade and no one cared. The entire Trump era could have been avoided if the US took white collar crime anywhere near as seriously as it does low level drug crime.

And it’s hard to top Dana Milbank when he’s on a roll.

The thing that's been so aggravating about Trump -- has been visible, in fact, since a year into his first term -- is that he's a paper tiger. Appease him and he'll try to take everything from you. Punch him in the face, and he folds, because he fundamentally only respects strength

Almost unbelievable. The unqualified SecDef texts the CLASSIFIED precise operational information about weapons packages, targets, and timing of upcoming military strikes to an uncleared civilian reporter. If these people were in our military, they'd be fired by now.

NEW: The republican chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee (Wicker) and the dem ranking member (Reed) are jointly demanding an investigation into the Signal chat. Wicker has told NBC he believes the information in the chat would be classified.

Pete Hegseth must resign or be fired immediately.

The arrogance, hubris, and stupidity of thinking that The Atlantic wouldn’t just publish the full thread if they tried to deny what was in it… And the responsibility the Senate bears for confirming these yutzes to such important national security positions in the first place…

The lives of American troops - and every American life - depends on the people in charge of our government taking their responsibilities seriously. But again and again, including with the incompetence that came to light today, they are demonstrating the opposite. My full interview here:

Circling back on this…

I’ve temporarily taken the paywall off this article, in the hopes that it can raise awareness about how to push back effectively against Trump—and also how to understand the world we’re heading toward: competitive authoritarianism.

Tomorrow morning, 8AM, Prospect Park West & President St, if you're mad at Schumer let's show it.

It takes real work not to adapt to this constant corruption and crime. Do not normalize the theft. That’s what Trump and Musk are counting on.

The whole thing is important, but listen until the end: the US depends a lot on the flow of capital into the country because it is perceived as the safest port in a storm. Once that is no longer true, a lot of things Americans take for granted go away.

A top economics reporter goes off script on national TV: “I am going to say this at risk of my job, but what President Trump is doing is insane.”

The root that tears apart your foundation begins as a seed of distrust, hate, and blame. The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe didn’t arrive overnight. It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.

By “go into”, he means “get invaded.”

The cybertruck sucks, and it failed, so Musk rescued it through a corrupt government scheme that is technically a federal crime American taxpayers are going to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on a vehicle that everyone serious agrees is absolute garbage as a matter of construction and safety

Protest against tRump Administration’s rollback of DEI initiatives was organized by a 13-year old girl in Stuttgart, Germany. From WaPo: “Hegseth’s visit to U.S. base in Germany met with student walkout
The civil disobedience...” Thank you to this courageous young lady!! She’s a leader.

Just endured every excruciating minute of this. With Trump sitting there, the kid wandering around, Musk gives a crash course in his theory of democracy that would embarrass a semi-literate stoner. These are fools in charge. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAuT...

This is from a 2020 presentation. Now it's just the chaos we live in, and no such description is needed.

JD Vance, a Yale-educated lawyer and sitting VP, claims judges can’t check executive power. That’s literally their job. Courts overturned Nixon, Bush, and Trump. If judges couldn’t rule on executive actions, presidents would be kings.
