I don’t know. I live in Texas and I bet Abbott, Paxton and Patrick would salivate at the chance to compress Texas’ women’s lives even more.

All of this. Also, changing names was historically a sign of ownership: From father’s daughter to husband’s wife. That’s why in the “good old days”, wives were introduced as Mrs. John Smith. Any woman could be in the title. We were made to disappear.

Love this

I’m a Boomer & while this blanket statement does not describe me, it absolutely describes a large portion of my graduating class 1979. No more reunions for me. They are horrible, spiteful, vicious people. I never knew. They outed themselves for Trump.

They “can” but they don’t. Multiple states have seen financial disasters as a result. Read about what happened to the cost of tuition when OK created a tax exemption. Spoiler: no families were helped.

I have a similar stick on the back of my car but it reads “build this wall” under the images. I am a blue dot in a very red, small town in Texas. I like driving down the main road so everyone can read it at the red lights.

Same for Texas - every Republican Congressman. We have >4M Texans on Medicaid with >2M of them children. Party of Pro-Life my ass.

He and Benedict Arnold will share the same chapter in History books. I wish him the eternity he deserves

At his age, I wonder if he can even hear him. Little X has a soft, high pitched toddler voice.

Random lady banish out rudeness but can’t take it. No surprise. Love your response

He learned from his father at the very least. He is mimicking and clearly doesn’t know better. Whose fault is that?

This is so on point

How will they avoid becoming like Texas? We have no income tax yet our property taxes are breaking us and the sales tax

This is the energy Dems need. The old guard like Pelosi need to step aside

Texan here. The video I saw showing bottles of Tito’s vodka coming off the shelves in Ontario and back into the case made my heart so happy (Tito is a Texas brand). The MAGAs wouldn’t listen to us so time for a real time lesson in tariff economics consequences.

As a life long Democrat, I fully agree
comment in response to post
As a Texan, I feel so satisfied seeing those bottles of Tito’s vodka go back in the case. I voted against Trump and I am all for burning this country - it’s the only way MAGAs may (only “may” not “will”) see the truth of tariffs and the destruction he is causing.

This is exactly right. Same with abortion. He and the Lege couldn’t risk Texans voting on either issue directly.

I live in Texas too and agree with you. Abbott and his ilk have Texans brainwashed that this is a great chance for poor Texans to send their kids to rich, better schools. They obviously don’t know what happened in OK when tax exemptions were put in place.

I did answer. I have no idea. The damage is so bad & we seem so fractured.

Yes! Ranked voting.

Children were not at risk for the worst symptoms & dying. However, they were at risk of infection and carrying that virus to everyone around them. Teachers, parents, grandparents, bus drivers, front office workers, cafeteria workers - all those adults were at risk.

I really have no idea how Dems are going to recover from this. We can all see that the old guard way of song things is failing though

Fair point. Yet millions of us understood what would happen if he won and here we are. So the unpersuaded Dem voters who sat out this election or voted for him did not achieve their goals & now he wants to clear Gaza and develop it for procured estate. Nice
comment in response to post
So instead we got a President who wants to remove the remaining Gaza residents who aren’t dead because they didn’t manage it well any way and better things could be done with the land. Nose cut off to spite face. Gazans’ suffering continues
comment in response to post
Probably not. What did the DNC do? Nothing. What did the Harris campaign do? Nothing. No recount verifications. It’s too late to do or change anything related to the election. He already publicly admitted the rigging. Time for new, strong, effective actions.

True that

Completely agree that Feinstein and Pelosi have fabulous track records & accomplished so much. Disagree about Pelosi. She did not step aside when she blocked AOC who would be more effective at holding Rep feet to the fire than Connolly. Her savvy is what she should be mentoring to younger Dems

Also, I live in Texas. I am a small blue dot in a miserably red state. I wish I lived in California.

??? You are so off base. Those are the most recent examples of Dems staying too long. I can dig and find more and most will be men who should have stepped down and lifted up the next generation of leaders. The old guard Dem method is failing.

Don’t forget the old white women who are adjacent to them and carry water for them (Pelosi, Feinstein for example).

That is the sweetest thing I have seen all week.

I’m so angry & sick of my Party right now. I had this argument with another Dem friend recently who wants to be able to argue the moral high ground and “not sink to that level”. I told him that’s why the British wore red uniforms & lost to Colonists dressed in buckskin. Fight effectively
comment in response to post
Time to pressure the older ones to get the hell out of office and make way for the younger ones so they can lead. Pelosi being a prime example of working to block a younger, effective, popular Dem by lifting up a 70+ Dem with a serious health issue instead. And the House Dems caved & did her bidding

I’m wondering how Caitlyn feels about her bestie now. Can’t imagine the price of eggs was more important to her.
