I will change my online habits as much as I need to to avoid AI. I'll connect with LAN if that's what it takes, I don't care. Whatever way there is to create an AI-free internet experience, I'm in, where do I donate.

Anyone thinking the Elden Ring movie is going to be bad is truly lost. The announcement is a slam dunk, probably the biggest we've ever had in terms of a video game movie. Even making "Jack Black as Tarnished LOL" jokes is just lame at this point.

Oh man, don't go on Wikipedia's main page today if you're squeamish.

Look... it's cool ok

Continuing from my last repost: Let's remember, Disney is planning an entire metaverse thing (for lack of a better way to refer to it) like Fortnite, with Epic, that will be as big or bigger. (1/2)

There's not much limit to how far Disney could attempt to go with this. It might be a clause in every Disney contract now, for all we know. If you as an actor take issue with it and question it you'll probably hear "Well James Earl Jones was okay wtih it" back from them.

I don't think I've ever actually played an RPG that combines turned-based and real-time elements before, even though there's a lot these days. Closest I've come is Nintendo's Mario variations. Aside from that I've either done pure turn-based, or action RPGs like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy XV.

Just get Syril Karn to do it

Seeing Raising Cane's covered in Flavor Flav branding in 2025 is very funny to me.

Is Donda Academy still accepting applications for this year

I've played 4 first person puzzlers in the past year, lest anyone doubt my credibility with the genre

Something that's really striking me about #BluePrince is how good the story is. Every bit of insight you get is super interesting and I yesterday I randomly stumbled on a letter that made me emotional just reading it. (1/2)

This is the first question I have asked google/alexa/AI using my voice in at least 5 years

Be careful out there folks

Found something odd tonight - Roger Ebert mentioning "The Tomatometer" without explanation in a review from 2002, only 4 years since the RT websites' founding and around 3 years before I ever heard of it (which iirc was when War of the Worlds came out).

Donkey Kong Bananza key art

Dominic's first big role since Holdovers!!

Has anyone done Belsnickel on Akinator

Wish we had official Nintendo blueskys now.

This isn't a real movie, right

I can't believe it's less than a month until we see Cyril Karn's mother again

Speaking of Split Fiction, playing co-op games is good training/enforcement for being able to admit when something is your fault. It's very clear when something is your fault and it feels weird not to lightly apologize for it.

"Split Fiction" is possibly the first specifically anti-GenAI work I've ever seen. Will be interesting to see more of them pop up over the years.

A model is emerging, which is simply pretending the First Amendment doesn't exist

I was so surprised when I found out that 2 of my absolute favorite things were linked this way (many years ago, not from this post). He's awesome but he needs another iconic work in the present day to really be appreciated. He doesn't seem to work very often.

As it turns out, their genius solution was "let's just render less natural environments"

I know this is extremely vulgar idealism, but I do think we should try to aggressively reassert the norm that lying is bad. Not in a "Four Pinnochios" fact-checking kind of way, but in a way that frames this kind of lying as moral degeneracy that is fundamentally corrosive to the human spirit.

Maybe make that font just a touch smaller, guys
