Did someone else get scammed the way I did?

The radio is still around and not just used on tinny speakers or when you’re isolated. My dad listens to the radio when eating breakfast and I use it when I’m going to sleep.

I feel similar! At first I thought you were insinuating the opposite thing because I wasn’t aware of just how ingrained it is, which is evidence that yeah: people should talk about it more!

It takes practice and exercise. Something all of us have to be disciplined about and make time for.
I’ve been struggling doing that these past couple of weeks too.

compression shirts that have stripes on them that give the impression of a harness even when there isn't one incorporated into the design of the shirt

Ok yeah, I needed someone else to show me how, but I definitely misunderstood what you said. Sorry about that.

Space and words! The terminology for the stuff you like might not exist yet and have urban dictionary definitions you can point to, but given folks working together I’m sure you could get a tag and term going more for gentle male softboy giants holding tiny ladies and the like.

Would probably be better to just invite ya there to be a part of the discussion. I’m a guy: obviously I’m going to come into this with my own biases and preferences but it seems like your concerns and likes are more generally held by women in this community and ought to have some more space

So I’m assuming then that I’m also misinterpreting in some way what you said in this thread. I shared it in the sizecon discord server (with your tag censored in case it would direct hate to ya) and it is provoking some discussion I find interesting among the female creators there

Man, it is really hard to convey nuance in a thread with this kind of character limit. I can already see some issues with my explanation but I haven’t got the space to explain or link. No wonder people say things on sites like this that are so easy to misinterpret.

This isn’t a macrophilia-specific issue by any means. And you are absolutely discounting the whole gay/bisexual/androsexual genre of macrophile media here. Metabods, Coiled Fist, Outsized… there have been avenues and spaces for Male Giant stories and art since Macrophile-dot-com was a thing in 1994.

Like: the reason giantesses are more associated with size fetish than male giants has to do with the straight male gaze and patriarchy for sure. The idea that femmy body types are inherently more provocative than masc ones. And that bias exists in pretty much all other kink communities.

I’m gonna say that this thread *is* problematic and leans into general “sex positivity is inherently mysoginistic” rhetoric.

Recipe websites are inconvenient to navigate, stuffed with ads and slop stories to pad out the text to keep you from getting to the dang ingredients and proportions. Print is preferable to that.

Still, Mom could tell this was something I felt very sad and strongly about so we went and bought me a drawing tablet the very next day.

That motivated me to get more involved and “come out” as Furry to my parents which baffled them as they were completely aware of this interest of mine the whole time and had no idea I was trying to keep it secret or concealed at all.

The main furry contact point I remember was Dnapalmhead’s Free Lunch comic on macrophile-dot-com. I followed his stuff a whole bunch afterwards and got very saddened when his retirement was announced.

It was only a decade or so later when I was in a dark place after a friend died and I was bullied out of school for a semester (long story) that I got to have a lot of free time with the home computer and discovered the general inflation spaces and more specifically furry.

I mean, honestly I was into general expansion and inflation stuff since I was a toddler. As a three year old my parents vouched I had a character “big fat magic boy” who I drew as a circle getting bigger on my Magna Doodle with little scribbles where the head and hands and feet would be.

Found the vid. And I was remembering it wrong, it was Thingiverse, not sketchfab. m.youtube.com/watch?v=6Jw6...

I remember seeing a video asking why everything on sketchfab and other 3D print catalogue sites are plastic toys and knickknacks that would be better off mass-produced through injection molding.

I saw a movie reviewer go a bit conspiracy-theory in one of his YouTube videos recently, proposing that social media platforms intentionally prop up negativity about movies, hobbies and legacy media to drive in this idea that you shouldn’t engage in those things and instead stay using the app.

They offer to send you the money with the assumption you’ll spend it within the window where they can dispute the transaction with PayPal. They keep their money but you just spent $300 on stuff you weren’t budgeting. They just wanna ruin your day.

Whoops, I just realized I forgot to put a content label on this. Is there a way to add that after the fact, or do I have to delete and repost the post?

Interestingly, that YouTuber’s argument for it being a slur was directly because it lumps all of a diverse group of people with different opinions together as one “other” -as if she wanted to keep the divisions between Ls and Gs and Bs and Ts clear.
Exactly what this post alleges.
comment in response to

Which yeah: I pointed out to him that if he really agreed with this YouTuber about it being a slur on par with the n-word, he should try imagining if he had done that with the n-word. It wouldn’t have looked good.

3 years ago a friend of mine posted a declaration in his server not to use “the q-slur” because he saw a video by a trans youtuber calling it a slur - but he messed up by using “q***r” throughout the declaration.

If you check this person’s account, and more specifically their replies, you’ll find they use bluesky exclusively to respond to people hating on homophobia by insinuating hypocrisy, or that making spaces lgbt friendly makes them hostile to straight people. This is a burner account to spread hurt.

Huh. This makes me want to see a list of genre defining pieces of media accompanied by a list of the media that were obvious rip-offs of the popular thing.
Bonus if it could have another list of what things inspired the popular thing.
