Mike Waltz: “You better believe we're going to get to bottom of how this sneaky Atlantic reporter got onto our Signal chat.”

in all seriousness: one of the most important philosophical questions of our time

once he offloads the coins to other buyers, money is made into his account. these buyers are those seeking political influence or favor from him. it is outright bribery scheme. meme coins is nothing but a shill for that.

#NY I called Governor Hochul + my 2 State Legislators to bug them about #divesting the state pension fund from Tesla Everyone please bug your reps too! If TSLA falls enough, Elon could get margin called! 🖕 @resist.bot = easiest way to msg all your state reps 💙: 📲text RESIST to 50409

The mainstream media is trying to dunk on Tim Walz for his Tesla comments because Minnesota state employees pension fund owns Tesla shares. Yet none of them bothered to ask why our taxes that are supposed to pay for people’s retirement, are instead being used to prop up Wall Street stocks.

Justin Brannan, who’s running for city comptroller, is vowing to have the city pensions divest completely from Tesla. “Elon Musk is coming for us. Why should we be investing pension funds in a guy who’s already shown that he’s got New York City in the crosshairs?” gothamist.com/news/divest-...

The writing is on the wall—it's time for NY to divest from Tesla. Tesla's volatility & plummeting stock poses a risk to NY's pension fund. I sent a letter with 27 Assemblymembers urging NYS Comptroller DiNapol to divest.

Dems enraged over Elon Musk want NYC to divest $1 billion in pension funds from Tesla

This may be a protest move, but it’s also sound pension management. No pension should still be holding Tesla stock.

BREAKING: Justin Brannan, the NYC Finance Chair and leading candidate for NYC Comptroller, is calling for complete divestment of NYC’s $1.2 billion pension investment in Tesla. If Brannan wins the NYC Comptroller race, Tesla would lose another $1.2 billion.

He added Jeff to the chat. That’s how it happened.

I think this is probably right.

Maybe it’s time for someone who supports America and isn’t drunk to take over? Just till we figure out what’s going on?

A little misleading...when Tesla stockholders or their brokers unload Tesla stock, the company itself doesn't lose money. (Except possibly indirectly to the extent that the sales might trigger a drop in the value of shares held by the company itself.)

This student is a green card holder who committed the heinous crime of exercising her right to free speech on a college campus. She’s 21 and has been in the U.S. since she was 7. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025... There are grounds for deporting a green card holder, but this isn’t among them.

People are upset about the Republican assault on democracy but feel helpless. They’re not. It’s not too late to stop these bastards. My newsletter tells you how.

New York State's pension fund currently owns 3.5 million shares of Tesla stock. Tesla stock values are plunging. If Comptroller DiNapoli drops Tesla, that would be a major blow to fascist manchild Elon AND a major win for New Yorkers' retirement savings. #TeslaTakedown @teslatakedown.com

During Saturday’s Tesla Takedown picket in NYC, we called NYS Comptroller DiNapoli to demand he divest the state’s pension fund from Tesla, which is not valuable to New Yorkers. Call 212.383.1600 to ask the comptroller to divest! #TeslaTakedown @patriciafahy46.bsky.social

Y'all really shouldn't have to be making calls to your Dem representatives in DC to tell them to call for resignations. You really shouldn't.

Bernie’s instincts for deeply normie-style politics like this are really under appreciated. His term as Mayor had a lot to do with it, I think. But for all his ideological zeal, he does a ton of very basic stuff like this. You really can’t have one without the other.

Pete Hegseth must resign or be fired immediately.

Just as we warned, breakdowns at Social Security are happening already—reported in a brand new must-read from the Post. (gift link) wapo.st/4hM5MAn

"Elise Stefanik" at her town hall. Questions about disappearing benefits, about her "house" in the district, always guarded, never inhabited. An old man remembered early on when she'd told him she didn't care for Trump. A little boy was afraid of getting killed in school. She had no words.

now was that so hard?

Need less focus on how the Signal group was stupid/reckless/funny/absurd/dangerous and more on how such mishandling of classified information is a CRIME

can i just say that i think josh hawley looks like what you might get if you asked AI to render bojack horseman as an actual human being

Mike is in bed with Russian owned American Ethane so he probably uses it too.

The job of Democrats is so clear right now: It's to do everything possible in the next 48 hours to keep the Atlantic story front-burner and make people understand the issues and the stakes. It couldn't be a simpler test of who gets it and who doesn't.

Adding Jeffrey Goldberg to the chat is good because then there’s one person who actually cares about national security

Another winner.

Pete Hegseth was drunk, right?

absolutely free layup for congressional Dems to call for the resignations of all involved and a special prosecutor

My three-year-old was reading the Atlantic when she turned to me gravely and asked "Daddy, why did the nice tattoo man send national security secrets to a reporter?" And when I told her "Because it was 11 am and he was four gin-and-tonics deep," she started crying.

That JB Pritzker sounds relevatory reflects how far a whole generation of Democratic politicians strayed from the absolute basics of electoral politics: say what you mean, act like you sincerely like your constituents, and don't constantly bring up how much you like and agree with your opponents.

Shout out to Jeffrey Goldberg for reporting on this now instead of waiting two years to put it in a book.

Every single Democratic lawmaker should be calling for Hegseth's immediate resignation right now. Not just some. Not just a few dozen. Every single one, starting at the top with Mr. Schumer and Mr. Jeffries. And the fact that it hasn't happened yet is nearly as shocking as Hegseth's conduct.

Companies keeping their DEI programs intact: Costco, Apple, Delta, Ben & Jerry's, the NFL.

Tesla becomes the new Enron. Employees told”don’t sell your stock as the company tanks and the board sells”.

"I love you so much. You make me so happy," I heard my wife exclaim. I was temporarily stunned by the outburst of emotion and felt so happy. I walked towards her to give her a hug and realized...she's talking to the cat.

Yoooo, @schiff.senate.gov and @padilla.senate.gov, where you at?
