I'll be so for real, sewing (or having a friend willing to sew for you) is your best friend if you're able to

and not to just keep talking for no reason, but I looked up the price of civ7, buying even 1 copy of that, let alone 2 to play with a partner, is much more than dinner and a movie costs in the UK unless you're like. posh.

like you're free to spend literally hundreds of dollars on Sims and then play it for 4 hours every year. I'm gonna take that same money and support 50 indie devs instead

like I said, I have consideration for indie devs, but the major ones aren't paying their workers the profits, they're being essentially garnished by people who aren't doing the work and I don't want to participate in a system that rewards that, so I do my best not to

watch it be like c for capture or something and we can take screenshots from 2 sides lmao

I try to judge it based on hours per £, with indie considerations given. if it's under £1 per hour, that's a good deal. if it costs more, I have to actively want to give extra support to the devs Right Now and not wait for a sale

depending on the game sometimes im like. give me a 2 hour game.

imo it's always worth getting a little bit of emulation set up on the pc, play some ye olde games that inspired the modern release ones while you wait for the price to drop

also. don't fall into the trap of not feeding your children anything but things you know they won't eat. they are small idiots and will 100% starve themselves until they're unwell out of stubbornness, I certainly did. arfid etc isn't some made up fad, and you'll only make your kids not trust you

obligatory I don't have kids but I was a picky eater kid, and potentially a picky eater adult. part of it for me is things having a surprising taste or texture, so if it's explained beforehand (eg this looks like a banana slice but it's actually harder and a little bit chewy) it makes it less scary

I recently started "replaying" oddworld, and realised that I like. literally never made it past the first level. as a kid I played that game for dozens of hours, I didn't beat a single level. friend we were not figuring things out.

I thought first readthrough you meant game 1 on day 1, game 2 on day 2, etc and was still like yeah that's fair there's a lot of good games to switch between
