Lame joke, but from my perspective he was already one of 'us' – assuming "High Church Lutheran" is connected to Lutherans in Germany.
Several of the German protestant churches are 'united' (Prussian state-forced union) Lutheran/Reformed.
I know very little about the world of organised religion, so forgive my ignorance if I'm wrong, but the name Nordic Catholic Church rings many alarm bells in my head
Current Calvin Robinson church history:
Church of England (???-2022)
Free Church of England (2022-2023)
Nordic Catholic Church (2023-2024)
Anglican Catholic Church (2024-2025)
Reformed Episcopal Church (2025-2025) (licence revoked after approximately two days of membership)
With this breaking news that Calvin Robinson has been kicked out of the Reformed Episcopal Church after approximately 48 hours, I have updated the meme.
Interesting question. I presume he was entitled to use Rev once he was ordained into the Nordic Catholic Church and would have to go through some process of de-ordination to not use it? The whole business seems rather opaque
unless for reasons of fraudulent gain, you can use any title you like I think. I personally don't like being called "Father", but some people can't help it.
Jokes aside, there has clearly been some stuff going on with him for a number of years and I hope he finally takes this opportunity to pray for discernment, and steps away from the public realm for long enough to hear what God is actually saying to him, away from the noise and chaos.
Weirdly self-aware of him to have made an Insta post basically saying “huh, this was a good guy and even he couldn’t even find a place for me. Maybe God is sending me a message.” So I definitely hope he takes some time but hmmm.
Did he actually get kicked out of the Church of England or did the Bishop of London just refuse to ordain him in the first place? I thought it was the latter.
I wonder what possessed the REC to incardinate him in the first place? They're not exactly a group I'd want to be a part of, but they seem reasonably stable.
At this rate, surely he's going to end up leaving a denomination before he's joined it (and if anyone can do it, it'll be him), which will probably end up creating a very small, very localised tear in the fabric of reality.
Which may explain a lot of things, come to think about it ..
I don't know anything about Calvin Robinson except what I've read in this thread, but I do know a lot about the Episcopal church in America and I feel confident that this is at least 50% on the Bishop. How do you not know he's ungovernable going in?
I agree, and also glad that this post is here and not on elon's network, where it would be swamped by dumb bluechecks, t-shirt bots and dumb bluecheck t-shirt bots by now
There was a more subtle wording in the original note. The writer went out of his way to say he was not compelled by other church supervisors wishing that he be removed to make the decision, but agreed with their wishes.

I never thought I'd have ANYTHING in common with Calvin Robinson, but here we are.

It's tragic. Perversely funny. And clearly a commentary on the man.
Had they just not noticed who he was?

Not that that can stop him from recommunicating himself or excommunicating me, but it's the thought that counts, or something.
The only time I beat that record was when I tried to become a phone psychic to cure my phobia of... Talking on the phone
(3 hours)
But agree this ought to be insane enough for even a breakaway sect to steer clear of.
