No mate it’s just an opinion. If it’s obviously wrong then make that point?

Yeah, that’s it!

Yep, my understanding is that the cost of the contract is only amortised over the first 5 years of the contract now?

I just don’t look at it this way really.
A 9.5 year deal isnt normal, and reeks partly of desperation, partly as some sort of attempt to threaten the PL that they have the potential to ruin Haalands career if he he’s fated to go down with the City ship. It’s strange, makes me think they’re scared.

Wouldn’t a higher number of changes available also be a symptom of having more fit players?

All well and good that Liverpool are proving they weren’t 99 point team, but this Arsenal team just don’t have what it takes to close the gap, imo.

They don’t know what they’re doing.

Usyk always comes on strong in the final stages. He keeps at a close distance and looks to draw punches out of his opponents so that they are tired late. When they are tired, as they usually always are, he ups the pressure to make it obvious to judges he’s on top.
Close fight, but a clear winner.

This is it. I almost can’t enjoy their downfall as much because I have no faith that Arsenal are capable of winning the league this season. We have a team that is good enough, but we won’t.

What about my post suggested that Arsenal aren’t in part to blame for this result?

It’ll feel worse Fulham capitulate infront of Liverpool next week.

Who knows what condition they’ll be in when the derby finally comes around .. due to all the fixture pileup before the new year there’s a real chance they could be in worse shape then they might have been today.

I thought he was reminding the crowd how many games he has lost out of the last 7.

Timber sneaking in behind the dummy block to nudge Paqueta forward .. a perfect execution of the tactic let alone the delivery and header.

If this team can stay moderately healthy, how can we not be considered title challengers?

I think it means we run a lot. No need to thank me.

Remember watching this film and “liking” it, in so much as you can like a film which is that grim
I assume the issue is about the racist cop? I never really saw it as a redemption arc with him. In the end they both ride off to potentially murder someone, both miserable finding company in each other

Damn good thing this story didn’t come out during the election or Bolsonaro would have definitely won a second term .. that’s how these things work everywhere right?

Problem is this is who they always were, just now they’re on a power trip having seized control of the largest social media platform and the most powerful office on the planet.
Truth is those who moan about politicisation of things they like just want you to shut up, they are all for politicisation

It doesn’t matter. These people believe in nothing, but want everything.
There isn’t a single position they hold on any issue that they won’t undermine at a moments notice when it suits them. Don’t engage with them.

Thanks, I’ll check it out.
My guess is the football + other global “issues” lead me to not pay as much attention to the news cycle as I usually do!

I wasn’t even aware there was another vote? Is it being reported on much?

Personally I think Trumps handlers are trying to get Republicans voting against these awful choices and poke their head out so they know who isn’t loyal enough.
comment in response to

Imagine being so s*** that you make me back Republicans against the MAGA crazies.
MAGA vs GOP is the “both sides are bad” argument that people have pretended the DEMs vs GOP was all these years.

It’s easier to wage a culture war for votes than it is to actually have a plan about how to improve people’s lives.

Twitter still has a purpose .. but that purpose is to be used as a life raft to any normal people who don’t understand that there are alternatives and that the real world isn’t so cruel.
Use Twitter, but use it entirely cynically, just like it deserves.

Kane is fearing for his England future because he straight up sucked in the last tournament. He’s ageing, he’s declining, and he needs to make himself undroppable by energising certain parts of the England fanbase who, for example, can’t get over the fact the manager is German.
comment in response to

David I think this kind of movement NEEDS to happen. I haven’t been bothered to look for a twitter alternative but with those election results it’s clear people need to organise in any way possible to restore a bit of sanity.

You know things are f***ed when you’re supporting the likes of Mitch McConnell to push back against the craziness.

Trump has no opinions or knowledge of laws whether they were made 6 years ago or 226. This is further proof that the worst people in the world are using him to push through every draconian law they can manage.

You can sack him, you should sack him. But social media is dangerous when things become a witch hunt. This issue needs to be about the PGMOL’s failures, and not an individual who, whether we like it or not, is very vulnerable right now.
